Yes, Harry's self-righteousness and waffling are annoying ... I can't believe all the sad puppy dog eyes ... when are the girls going to say "Harry, you berk, quit lying to yourself and us about your feelings, we don't have time for that any more!" For that matter, do I not remember Harry telling Gabrielle that he loves her, end of "Evening Classes"?
Even better, why are Hermione and Susan letting Harry give up the initiative on buying Gabrielle? Is the ministry the only party that can sell a Veela? No! He could buy her from her parents before the ministry even makes a ruling. Otherwise what is going to happen? A bidding war between the Malfoys and Harry.
