I hope that Harry doesn't become irrational if something is wrong with the account. If the audit says Dumbleore has been stealing money and heirlooms from the Potter vault then I hope Harry only goes after the single goblin who betrayed Harry and the goblin nation. I was hoping Harry could also form an alliance with the goblins.

This is what the head goblin is hoping for, hoping that if they do find something that they can sort it out before Harry finds out and blames them all, they can deal with the ones that have betrayed Harry and the goblin nation.
