I do like this story, but I have to be honest, I think you can drop the rating down to PG-13, or R. There's only one chapter so far that borders on NC-17. So, my question is: Is the rating for LATER chapters?
Other than that little peeve, I have to say that you have a well thought out plot, and you develop the canon characters well. I think you have Ginny's character pegged very concisely. I feel that Hermione would have already discovered what was going on, but I do think she would be fine with it once the shock of the bond was passed. I do like that you did not establish a bond with her.
Your development of the relationship between Ron and Hermione is sweet, and believable. This Ron is a bit more mature than he was in canon, but that is a good thing! Keep it up.
I know as a fanfic writer myself, I don't want to rush things, but I have to advise that Harry has had enough time to mull over the bonds. I think it may be time for him to act on it, because there are only so many times he can study the ribbons and it stay fresh.
I do like the scenes where he establishes the wards. That part is nicely done.
Sorry for giving such a long review, but I haven't reviewed any other chapters that I can think of...

Sage - Thank you for such a long review. I like long review as it allows me to answer what you want me to and also see what people are thinking.
The rating does seem a little large at the moment (yet the reviews I got after chapter 3 justify it slightly) but to answer the question yes it gets "Steamier" later on and considering the age of some of the charecters/participants I thought NC-17 would be prudent. Yes very large chunks are not NC-17 but I wanted to be safe.
As for Harry and development it will start up very soon but he has one final hurdle yet as he still doesn't know the "full" extent of what the bonds mean.
For the rest of charecters thanks for your comments being only slightly more adult I think is the right thing to do with them.
