  How incredibly beautiful! You very much captured the tone of the book, and the nature of these characters and their relationships. I love your Peri, still something of the girl we met in the novel, but grown into her potential. Absolutely gorgeous, and quite impressive.

  I'm glad you liked it. :) I wrote this for the 2004 Yuletide Obscure Fandom Secret Santa Project, and it was way different from anything else I'd written, fandomwise. I love McKillip's descriptions, and I tried to emulate her style here. Found that that style, in my hands, either sounded really good...or really pretentious. o.o; Glad I managed it well!

  i love it...it's just the way i imagined it would be, after Peri fell inlove with Lyo and turned away from the enchantment of the sea. Thank you for that lovely story :)
