  Thanks! I'm still not too fond of the abrupt transition from mostly-kind-of-goofy-but-generally-pretty-even characterization to "They're teenagers! They have to be fountains of angst!", so when I wrote this it seemed like the way to go.

  ...You know, it's sad when fans can write characters better than the writers.
  Because I can totally see Bart doing that. Also, the random Japanese was cute and in character. :)

  Sometimes I wonder whether writers even READ the canon for the characters they take over. I'm glad you can think I kept Bart in character, because I'd hate to not do justice to one of my favorite comic boys. Thanks!
