  I enjoyed seeing the interaction between Squall and Sora; it felt very real and it was interesting seeing the both talk about memories and what happens when things go wrong with that.

  This story was spot-on for me. Sora and Leon's voices come across wonderfully. The little sections with Donald and Goofy didn't feel forced at all and that's a big problem for me when reading stories that include them. I also thought this was good examination of some of the things the game doesn't really deal with at all. It adds a lot of the realism that's otherwise lacking. But, my true love for this story comes from the Sora-Leon dynamic. I love this. I rarely find it done so well. This was an excellent story.

  ... you're making me want to replay FF8. :) Not that that's a bad thing; I'd kinda been thinking about it, anyway. But yeah. Definitely might have to start that tonight.
  
  As to the story itself... this was good. Very good. You don't often see really good genfic, and that's exactly what this was. The character voices were great, and the idea that Donald would have magic specifically for cleaning people (in a variety of lovely scents!) is fantastic. I want to be able to do that myself! Also, the way you incorporated elements from FF8 into Leon's backstory was very well done: the GFs, the Garden and the other SeeDs in the picture...
  
  The interaction between Sora and Leon was great, too; you could see the developing relationship (brother-like, I mean, obviously) that you start to kinda see in the game, a bit, but that never really got explored.
  
  Kudos for a job well done and a story well written. :)

  Oh, this was lovely. Totally in-character for both Leon and Sora, and just OMGYEY for the whole big-brotherly vibe you had going. I also love the teensiest references to FF8, or at least the characters in it, and also the bits of Donald and Goofy being themselves (and Donald's air-freshener wand XD).

  You did a spectacular job on this. Well done, you :) Everybody is in character, and it's hilarious how you inserted what everybody's thinking but nobody says about Donald's pants.
