Woah. Intense and very fitting in the theme of the series (even-if-I-hate-Charlotte-grumble-grumble). Berserk doesn't get nearly as much love in fanfiction as it should. Details I especially liked; the flat, almost-cheerful narration, coupled with those bursts of stream-of-consciousness (especially that line about Charlotte's white flesh, bursting through the king's facade shudder).
