I bet this chapters wasn't easy to write. I couldn't write a story like this, that's for sure.
I find it weird that Shay didn't realize that what she felt for Pete was mainly based on their physical encounters though. But I've done my fair share of lying to myself or pretending to be blind towards the obvious. So, it's perhaps human. Sad, sad humans.
Patrick is brilliant. Not necessarily how he treated Shay and his family before but there's just so much energy a human being has. I can very much relate to his current situation and feelings. Kudos where kudos are due! :)
