I really enjoyed this, especially since it's not the type of scenario I normally look for, in these stories. So that means it was very good, to hold my attention and be so enjoyable! As I mentioned to you elsewhere, I enjoy how consistently REAL your characters are. You describe their thoughts, movements, and dialogue so well that it's like watching real people. It never feels that the written word is intervening between the reader and the character. For the writing to be that transparent requires great skill indeed.
