I'm glad to see the whole thing, now--was a bit disappointed by the sudden stop.
Hmm, the Patils as Sinhalese... that's a new one. Seems as if all the Sinhalese I've run into or read about in the news had different sorts of names, four or five syllables long, whereas Patil seems more like just a variant on Patel, but I've not known all that many Sinhalese.

Good point on the Sinhalese names, suffice it to say the surnames are truncated for the benefit of the Anglos.
