This would be funnier if it were clearer from the beginning whether or not it directly follows book events.

Thanks for your review. The problem with your criticism is that the story both does and does not follow book events. Granted, you do need a good knowledge of book canon to get the point of the joke, but I think that is generally true of all good parody.
