As to the rampant Ginny!Hate... where the hell was she during the first five books (ignoring the DOM for a minute). Harry's first year: she's at the train station. Harry's second year... she's an idiot. Harry's third year: was she at Hogwarts that year? Harry's fourth year: was she at Hogwarts that year? Harry's fifth year: she's bossing him around when they're at Grimmauld Place.
If you watch the OotP movie, do you notice how Ginny's the one with the really powerful/destructive spell? Coincidence? I think not...
Sixth year, Ginny's gone from a meek little bookworm into a super!powerful, incredibly smart, incredibly popular, incredibly athletic love interest. And isn't it curious how Ginny's suddenly so interesting after the section in potions class where they talk about Amortentia, the most powerful love potion in the world? Coincidence?
The only real ship a lot of us can see would be Harmony. But, you don't want to do that, and that's perfectly good. Like a lot of fanfic readers, I'll read any ship, provided it's well written.
