Never Forget

Chapter 3

That day at the hotel nothing unusual happened. Vicky occupied herself influencing the stock market in her favor and Timmy watched TV, or it looked like he was watching. The volume was low so as to not bother Vicky, and because Timmy wasn't paying attention to the old Crimson Shin movie re-run. Though he did glance at the screen long enough to wonder why he liked that movie so much when he watched it as a child.

Vicky wanted to spite the press, she would let them talk and accept thing so openly it would no longer be a scandal. If the rumors flew faster than the press, then the press would be called slow, old news, and to stop that from happening the might just start avoiding her. Anyone who fought any kind of war against Victoria would lose; she wanted that to remain clear.

For Vicky it was fine, it was beneficial, it showed how daring she was and her capability to get away with anything. No doubt more businesses would try to steal her away and the insider trading and stock market control would be priceless, or rather very pricy.

In Timmy's case, he was too focused on his mission of keeping an eye on Vicky, for the sake of fairy world affairs to even consider the impact this would have in his life. He didn't realize it until Vicky kicked him out, saying "it's been long enough," and Timmy returned home.

As he walked down the street, whispering to a couple of pink and green cats, Chester and AJ came running in the opposite direction with shocked looks on their faces. "Timmy!" The blond gave him a pat in the back. "You're amazing!"

AJ glared, "I believe to say you're suicidal is more accurate."

Timmy could only blink in confusion. "What's up with you guys?"

"We heard!" Chester sounded exited about whatever it was they heard about.

"What are you talking about?" Timmy was honestly confused.

"Don't try to hide it," Chester elbowed him with a sly grin, "everyone knows."

"Everyone knows what?" Timmy was starting to get annoyed; it was becoming pretty obvious that there was a rumor about him floating around.

"It was on television!" AJ looked exasperated.

"Ubetcha did the report; he said he got the news from an anonymous source. There's some paparazzi guy saying his report was stolen but word on the street it a maid who heard from a bellhop who witnessed the entire thing was the one who sent in the report," Chester did not pause once while explaining and his excitement didn't die down, if anything it grew.

With the mention of a paparazzi and a bellhop an uncomfortable feeling settled in Timmy's stomach and the color was drained from his face. "Vicky..."

Chester nodded energetically. "Of all people, who would have thought?" The blonde threw his arm around Timmy's shoulder in a brotherly fashion and started walking towards the trailer park, pulling Timmy along.

AJ shook his head and followed the other two, settling for an expression that was a mix of discomfort and disappointment. "I thought you knew better."

"Get off his case AJ, Timmy's a hero to survive being with a wild woman like Vicky," Chester spoke in Timmy's defense, while Timmy continued walk in silence a million thoughts running through his head.

Timmy rushed into things again, allowing certain things to happen that he shouldn't have. He shouldn't have let those rumors get stated but as it often happened, Timmy did not think ahead. Nothing happened in that hotel, Timmy and Vicky barely spoke to each other, but no one would believe it.

"I heard she's pretty hot these days, is that true?" Timmy's eyes went wide at Chester's mischievous tone. "C'mon tell me everything!"

Timmy blushed crimson, though nothing actually happened, everyone thought it did. He shook his head, "you got it all wrong."

"Don't want to talk about it?" Chester looked disappointed. "C'mon man, share the details, don't be so selfish!"

AJ's expression hardened more and Timmy could feel the bald boy's glare in the back of his head. He wouldn't even walk next to the other two.

"If I say nothing happened, would you believe me?" Timmy glanced at the pink and green cats that were still following the group, being ignored by Chester and AJ. They where used to seeing Timmy with strangely colored animals and assumed he simply dyed their fur. Timmy tried to draw support from the two cats, but their worried expressions weren't helping.

Chester shook his head. "If it was on TV it has to be true."

Sadly Timmy remembered who else shared that same line of thought, his parents. Surely by now they heard about it. Timmy could ask to stay at Chester's place, since AJ sounded too annoyed to welcome him and AJ's parents probably hated him. But then Chester would spend the entire time trying to get the details out of him. Besides, he couldn't freely speak to Cosmo and Wanda unless they were in private. Timmy certainly didn't want to face his parents, but he didn't have much of a choice. He contemplated disappearing to Fairy World for a days but he knew that would only make matters worse, people might think he's living in Vicky's hotel room if he's no where to be found.

The three boys passed the Turner residence and Timmy stopped. "Sorry guys, I can't hang out right now."

AJ didn't say anything and Chester looked disappointed. He glanced at the house before them. "Your parents?" Timmy nodded. "If you get kicked out and need a place to stay my trailer's always open. Dad won't mind, he says you have a lot of guts."

Timmy wasn't sure if he should take it as a compliment or wish he could sink out of existence. The boy who no longer wore a silly pink hat mumbled a "thanks" and headed inside the Turner home. He would have to face his parents eventually so he might as well do it now.
