Just A Transaction

Waking up in Scarlet's room right after a night of heavy drinking was not Reno's favorite event.

Reno woke up slowly, as he was wont to do after a heavy night of staying out with the gang, letting his consciousness slowly rise and take control of his body. It was so much easier than coming awake all at once and groaning in the sudden pain. Doing it this way, it didn't come to a shock and somehow hurt less.
His eyes opened, a little at a time, as his room seemed supernaturally bright... enough to hurt at least. It was as he expected, considering the size of his headache. What he didn't expect, however, was the sickeningly sweet voice that called out at him from the other side of the room.

"Oh, there you are, I was worried you might not wake up soon enough to go to the parade." /Damn, damn and double damn/, was that who he thought it was...? "Reno, darling, you really must stop drinking so much... it leads to," here she paused, smiling sweetly with lips dripping in red lipstick, lifting a shot glass to those lips and taking a drink, "unhealthy things." Scarlet was arranged neatly and elegantly at a vanity table, her flawless legs poking out from underneath a deep red dress, a slit only up one side this time. It was a special dayt . There were makeup items and bottles on the table, including one bottle of alcohol she'd taken her drink from. She was obviously in the middle of getting dressed, and already was drinking.
That was it. Reno sat up suddenly, only to be dragged back when he hit the end of the chain. /Chain/?! He looked, now wide eyed, and he was indeed chained- to the bed. It was just about then that his body decided to shiver, alerting him to the fact he was naked.
He was naked, chained, and in Scarlet's room.
"W-what the hell are you doing?!" He demanded, snapping around to face the woman. She was sporting a mouth shaped bruise on her neck and a very cat-got-into-the-cream type look. "Why, Reno, darling. I thought you said we'd go to the parade together. Don't you remember?"

Well, damn, the blond bitch knew he didn't remember and was putting it on. He tugged at the chains and tried to give her as much of a glare as possible. There were reasons the Turks did not like this woman, the least of which were the times she betrayed them so many times. She'd take advantage of anything.

Oh dear. She probably had a camera... yep, there it was, sitting in the corner of the hotel room she had claimed on arriving in Junon.

"Oh, shit." He knew he shouldn't have had those extra... twelve dozen shots.

She just put on an even more sweet smile, carefully coifing her neck with a scarf. "Why, Reno, I didn't know you were so eloquent, much less smart to catch on that quickly."

Sighing, he tugged at the chain again. "What do you want this time? And let me go, dammit."

Scarlet twisted her hair up in her usual effecient hairdo, and pouted fakely. "What makes you think I want anything?" Reno pointed at the open folder on the desk nearby as best he could, and she laughed. "Oh, yes, fine, fine. I want to know exactly what the turks are up to in catching Sephiroth. Such a fine man... or was, anyway. I'm merely curious."

"Curious, hah." He sneered, weaseling his hands out of the chains. The turk had gotten impatient and did it himself, although it hurt a little. Ok, actually, it hurt a lot but that would be taken care of by some materia. There was no way he'd let her know it hurt, either. "I bet you just want his autograph."

She turned around, now fully dressed and ready for an outing, and pouted, this time it seemed for real. "Oh, come on, you couldn't have guessed that easily! Heidegger told you, didn't he? The stupid grump cut up my last autograph book with a new weapon I was showing him."

Reno laughed at that.

"It's not funny!" She flounced over and threw his clothes at him, huffing. "That autograph book was worth millions!" She made a big motion, encompassing the room. "It could have bought this hotel!"

Shaking his head, he put his uniform back on and hopped off the bed. "Scarlet, you got problems, and that ain't counting the ones your shrink diagnosed you with."

Purring, she pressed up against his side. "I'll make it worth your while... not just this little romp while you're drunk. You could have me... /whenever/."

Reno gave her a sharp glance, which turned into a searching stare, going up and down her curves. It was true, she was a pretty hot babe for being an older woman, and she must have had experience to lure Reno here, even while drunk... and there was that little thing about her messing with the turks all the time, but if he said no she could really make his life miserable- and not just with the other turks. He weighed his options, then finally sighed again. "Fine. But only Sephiroth. It's not like we aren't reporting it to Heidegger anyway. This doesn't mean I forgive ya, either." He walked over to the door, trying to make a quick exit. "And next time, ya might not wanna design things that look like scissors."

"Oh. /Please/. It was nothing personal." She sniffed, looking dignified despite the low cut dress.

"Yeah, and this is nothing personal either, just a transaction." He glanced at the camera. "And blackmail."

Scarlet humphed in indignation.
