There it was before me. That one hope I sold the last two years of my life for, all that pain and sorrow stood towering above me, personified in all its horrific appropriateness. Huge, intimidating, overwhelming, in a perfectly tuned dosage which made me want to collapse in anguish. But yet a beautiful machina, poised, perfect, tuned, overpowering. Evil. Designed to destroy. And about to be destroyed.
So close to breaking, but I take a deep breath and think of my friends. And think of him. His face. His smile. How I miss him.
