The Start Of Something
Lucca stood at the entrance to Magus's castle. She was with Crono and Frog. She looked at the big dark castle, there where bats flying around and the statue of a dragon on top of the tallest tower.
The 3 of them entered the castle where they fought many battles. To think that Lucca could be missing this! Yes, she remembered what had happened... Crono had to go and so did Frog but who else would go? Marle had complained that she was being 'left behind' when if realty she wasn't but it worked anyway. That is until she took one look at the castle and decided she wanted to go back to the End of Time! They could have taken Robo but no his glowing eye light would attack too much attention and he could turn them off because if he did he couldn't see where he was going let alone fight, Then there was Ayla, much too noisy for the job... So finally Lucca was they're only hope! It was either go to Magus's castle with Lucca or Crono and Frog would go alone! Lucca didn't like the idea of going but she was tired of being in the End of Time and she wanted to keep busy doing something other than fixing Robo over and over even if nothing was wrong so she accepted the invitation.
After countless battles they had finally arrived at the place where they expected to have the final battle with Magus! It was dark and creepy. Blue flames lit the way as the 3 got closer.
"Zeuga Ziena Ziber Zom"
The first few words heard made Lucca jumped and reach for her gun but she didn't get to shot. She was glad it was dark because even if it made it creepier than it already was no one could see what just happened.
"Now the chosen time has come" So he did speak our language. Lucca wondered what the first few words meant but she didn't like to think too much about the last. The chosen time? The chosen time for what?
"Exchange this world for-"
Before Magus could finish Flog interrupted. After a little argument about kissing princesses or something like that the battle began.
For a few seconds Lucca just stood there. Was this another of Magus's soldiers? No, this was him. This was actually Magus. She expected someone much more... scary. Not that he didn't try to look scary but that was it he tried and she knew it. Lucca wondered if he even looked scary when he wasn't trying to...
Until now Magus has been fighting Frog and Crono and completely ignoring Lucca. Because she didn't attack right away he didn't think she would. Mistake number one.
Lucca took her gun with both hands and aimed at Magus. They where moving quickly so by the time to shot got there it passed dangerously close to Frog and missed the target. But the next one didn't miss!
Because the second shot didn't miss Magus noticed Lucca and decided to do something about her. He used a powerful 'Thunder2' that shocked not only Lucca but also Crono and Frog.
Frog responded to the magic attack by using a water attack which to tell the truth wasn't very powerful. In fact Magus didn't even bother to stop it and in the end all the Frog did was get Magus wet which was a nice way to stay cool in battle.
Crono's attack was a lot more powerful but Magus was used to magic so he was able to counter attack and cancel Crono's attack before it reached him. How ever he didn't expect Lucca's fire attack.
The battle continued for a while longer until the Earth started shaking. Earthquake? No, Lavos!
"Bad timing! Don't wake up on me now!"
Hearing what Magus said Lucca couldn't help but ask: "Wake up? Didn't you create him?"
Before Magus could reply a huge black portal appeared, a gate! Even without getting an answer to her question Lucca had come to the conclusion that Magus didn't create Lavos, yet she had no idea where it came from... She would have made a mental list of possibilities if it weren't for the fact that she along with Crono, Frog and Magus where too busy falling into the huge gate that closed after the four fell into it.
Lucca, Crono and Frog where the first to fall in it. Magus managed to stay behind so the three heroes didn't know if he fell into the gate later or not. The truth is that he did but because it took him longer to fall in the gate took him to a different time than it did Crono, Lucca and Frog.
By the time Lucca, Crono and Frog woke up they where in pre-history in Ayla's hut. After another little adventure this time in the Tyrano Lair they found out where Lavos came from. This was getting very interesting. Marle wanted to join in and Lucca didn't want to leave. As the leader Crono had to stay so Frog returned to the End of Time so that Crono, Lucca and Marle could explore the Kingdom of Zeal.
Marle looked around. "It's it amazing how this place just floats in the air just like that"
"Nothing happens just like that" Said Lucca. "There must be some kind of power source keeping this continent up here! But what can be so powerful.... maybe we can find out if we talk to the people that live here"
"Good idea Lucca" Marle smiled, she was planning something... "I'll check for clues in the store and do some shopping while I'm at it. Crono, could you come with me please? We'll meet back here in an hour. See you later Lucca"
Lucca watched as Marle dragged Crono to the nearest store and he told her to slow down. Slow down? Why didn't he just tell her not to go shopping? Lucca sighted. At least she would have a quiet next hour to learn as much as she could about this time.
As she explored she saw a little boy with blue hair and a blue cat. That boy reminded her of someone but she didn't know who. Lucca decided it was noting of importance and so continued studying the surrounding area.
"The Black Wind blows..." The blue-haired boy said.
Lucca looked at him. "What is it?"
"Someone you know will leave this world..." The boy said.
"What do you mean? What are you talking about?" Lucca was confused but not worried after all this was just some little kid what did he know?
The boy gave no answer, he just walked away and stopped for a few seconds only to call his cat. "Alfador!" The blue cat followed him.
Lucca stood there for a few seconds thinking about what happened. Why did she give this little incident so much importance? Who was that boy? Why did he remind her of someone? She decided to find out!
Lucca ran in the direction that the blue haired boy and the cat went. She wasn't paying much attention to where she was going and bumped into someone dressed in black. "Sorry" She had a strange feeling... Who was this person? She tried to look at his face which was almost completely covered but he looked away. She only got a small glimpse at his eyes...
"It's ok, just watch where you're going" Said the Prophet and he continued walking in the opposite direction to where Lucca was heading. He didn't want to attract attention, that could ruin his plans but now he had something else to deal with. This girl was the same one that was at his castle and if she was here the others including Glenn must be here too.
Lucca stood there not moving for the next few seconds until the prophet was out of sight. What's wrong with me? She thought. It wasn't the first time this day when she just spaced out and stood there motionless for a few seconds. The first time it was at Magus's castle, then a few minutes ago when she met that strange boy and now. But why was it that she got the same strange feeling from Magus, the blue haired boy and the man in black?
Lucca shook her head and continued on her way. The blue haired boy was probably gone by now but even if she didn't find him it didn't matter. How much important information could he give her anyway? But somehow Lucca knew that this mysterious boy knew more than he was telling, much more.
"I'm sorry Jan-Jan I have to go now" Lucca heard a woman's voice. She was coming her way.
"I know Schala but..." A boy's voice said. Could it be that same blue haired boy?
"We've already talked about this Janus... I'm sorry, just hang on to what I gave you ok?" The woman said.
"Yes, Schala" Replied the boy.
The 2 where just passing by next to Lucca. "Hello, I don't think I've seen you before" Said Schala.
"I'm new around here, I'm visiting" Lucca tried to sound like a regular tourist but then again how would a 'regular' tourist get up to that floating continent?
"Schala" The boy complained. "I thought you had to go, the sooner you do what she wants the sooner you'll come back you said so Schala"
"Yes, it's true... I'm Schala and this is my brother Janus I can't stay but I hope you enjoy your visit"
"Thanks, my name's Lucca"
"Nice meeting you, I guess I'll be on my way now..."
"Ok, nice to meet you too"
Schala left, Lucca, Janus and Alfador stood there in silence after she was gone. Lucca was trying to figure out who Janus reminded her of and Janus was just staring into emptiness lost in thought until Alfador broke the silence. "Meow!"
"Cute cat" She tried to pet him.
"Alfador only likes me!" Janus said still looking away.
"Prrrr!" Looks like Alfador likes Lucca too. ^_~
"Alfador!" Janus called his cat away from Lucca. "Let's go Alfador!" Janus left followed by Alfador.
I should be going back to finding information about this place... After talking to a few more people Lucca had a good amount of useful information. It seamed that the people from the Kingdom of Zeal or as they called each other the 'Enlightened' ones liked to brag about they're kingdom so it was easy to get information from them.
The hour passed quickly and soon Lucca was waiting for Crono and Marle to return. 20 minutes later they got there. And I thought I was going to be late Lucca thought.
Crono was carrying a bunch of boxes. "So what did you find out Lucca?" He asked from behind the boxes.
"I found out a lot of interesting things about this place, why it floats in the sky like this, they're current situation, they're plans for the future and the kingdom's relation to Lavos"
"I found out they have a good sense of style" I don't even have to tell you that it was Marle who said this. Lucca wondered if Marle heard the same things everyone else heard or if she just found the subject of shopping so much more interesting than the subject of saving the world...
"Look at this!" Marle took a dress out of one of the boxes Crono was holding. "Isn't it great? That's not all, I bought it at this pretty store for women's clothes and I didn't forget you"
Oh, no, Lucca's fears came true. She watched as Marle put her dress back into it's box and looked at the boxes, searching for a specific box. The box that the princess was searching for was at the bottom. "Found it!" She exclaimed happily as she pulled out the box making the other boxes fall on Crono.
"Crono please be more careful with the things we bought. Here you go Lucca and I got one for Ayla too" Marle handed Lucca the pink box and searched for the one that had Ayla's dress so she could show it to Lucca.
After seeing Ayla's dress and all the dresses and accessories Marle got for herself the fashion show was no where near over. Next Marle showed her the things she got for the guys using Crono as the model.
After Marle's little fashion show was finally over the princess noticed Lucca had not yet opened the pink box. "Go on Lucca Open it! I know you'll like it"
Lucca sighted and opened the box almost afraid to look but to her surprise she actually like the cloths that Marle got for her. They where elegant without being too fancy and they looked comfortable. "Thanks"
"I knew you would like it!" Cheered Marle. "Put it on! C'mon let's go find a bathroom somewhere so we can change!" Ten minutes later they where in they're new clothes...
"Ok, now that we changed and you showed me everything you bought I have to tell you guys something!"
"What is it Lucca?" Asked Crono.
"It's about this place. I found out that people in this time are divided into 'Enlightens' and 'Earthbound' the Enlightened have magic and the Earthbound don't. This, the Kingdom of Zeal floats in the air by a power supplied by the Mammon Machine. It also gets power from Sun Stones but the power of the Sun Stones is running out and soon the kingdom will depend only from the power of the Mammon Machine and where does the Mammon Machine get it's energy? From Lavos!"
"LAVOS?! But that's... that's... it's just... it's wrong!"
"Yes, Marle it is wrong and we're supposed to be stopping it!"
Crono stood in silence while the two girls talked or rather while Lucca tried to explain things to Marle and she only understood half of it. Finally our young red haired hero said something. "I think we should return to the End of Time" That's all it took, soon they where on they're way back to the End of Time to inform the others about what they... about what Lucca found out!
Once the situation was clear or as clear as possible it was time to choose the new team of three members as usual. Lucca knew the most about the Kingdom of Zeal and there was the thing about the Mammon Machine, if there was a machine involved it was best to have Lucca along.
Marle was currently busy trying to get everyone to wear the things she got for them. She was chasing Ayla all over the End of Time! Frog was practicing with the Masamune sparring with Spekino. So that leaves Robo... The only problem was that he might attract attention! From the things that Lucca talked about in the End of Time if they where going to get a look at that Mammon Machine they had to be careful not to get caught.
"I'll go alone..." Lucca finally said.
"You can't!" Crono argued. "It's dangerous to go alone!"
"Crono I can do this! Besides what will you or anyone else do there? I'm the one who has to take a look at that machine. Don't worry, I'll be careful and I'll be back as soon as I'm done"
After arguing a little more Crono finally agreed and Lucca was off to the Kingdom of Zeal by herself. As she looked around she saw a woman and Schala was with her. From what she heard this was Queen Zeal and Schala was a princess. That means Janus was the prince of Zeal.
Lucca kept watching quietly. Schala opened the door using her pendant which looked just like Marle's pendant. Lucca didn't have to go back to the End of Time to get it, she already had it. Marle insisted that she put it on because it matched her new outfit. She told Lucca to be very careful with it and return it later.
Lucca ran off to examine the Mammon Machine after trying to open the door and failing to do so. Surprisingly the guard that where there before where gone and the Mammon Machine was unguarded. Lucca made sure not to mess it up while she examined it, after all she wouldn't want that continent to fall out of the sky while she was still on it.
After she was done she left. She later found out that all of the guards where helping in the construction of the 'Ocean Palace' and that is why the Mammon Machine was unguarded for the moment. Lucca saw a group of guards heading to the room of the Mammon Machine, she had gotten out of there just in time.
Lucca noticed that Marle's pendant was glowing. She had a feeling she should try to open the door again, so she tried and this time it worked.
"That door was sealed how dare you just come in here? Who are you?" Dalton was the first to notice Lucca.
Before she could answer Schala spoke. "Stop it Dalton!"
"I'm sorry Miss Schala do you know this girl?" He asked trying to hide his anger, he had a bad temper and he was angry about the Queen paying more attention to the Prophet than to him. It looked like everything he said the Prophet said the opposite and got his way. He wanted to take it all out on someone and Schala just ruined that opportunity.
The door had stayed open for a few minutes, enough time for Janus to run in followed by his cat, Alfador. "Schala!"
"Janus!"
"Enough!" Queen Zeal got up. "This is not a public reunion! Janus go back to your room and take that cat with you! Prophet, you are a prophet so tell me who this girl is"
Magus glared at Lucca. He had to put up some kind of prophet act now! "Her name is..." He thought for a minute. Had Glenn and the red haired boy called her when she was at his castle? He couldn't remember them saying any names... He was about to make up a fake name when Schala spoke.
"Her name is Lucca" Schala somehow sensed that the girls intentions where good and she didn't want an innocent person to suffer like many had lately all because of that Ocean Palace project.
"Prophet" The queen looked at him suspiciously. "How is it that you could not tell me her name?"
Magus thought quickly. Maybe too quickly because he said the first excuse that popped into his head. "Other Prophets can block they're minds and-" He stopped, he regretted saying that.
Queen Zeal looked at the Prophet (Magus) still suspicious then she looked at Lucca just as suspicious. "Another Prophet? What can you tell me about this kingdom Lucca?"
Lucca told her everything she had learned but the trouble came when the queen asked about the future. Lucca glared at Magus. He understood, if she said something wrong it would affect him too because he said she was also a prophet. He nodded indicating she could say something and he would support it, he had no choice.
Using all of her logic she made her 'predictions'. Magus was both surprised and relieved to see how smart this girl was. After she was done she had earned the queen's trust. Schala knew Lucca was making everything up and upon this discovery she came to the conclusion that the Prophet was also making stuff up. But she was against the Mammon Machine and the construction of the Ocean Palace, she was against Lavos so she didn't say anything, maybe these people where here to help.
The good news was the Queen Zeal bought it. Convinced that she was dealing with 2 expert Prophets that would be eternally loyal to her she explained in detail her plans. While she did Magus made a few comments every now and then about how the future will be if she did what she was saying she would. He was 'playing' with her mind and Schala noticed but still she remained quiet. Lucca realized the situation and started making comments too so that the queen would not be suspicious of her.
After the meeting was over Lucca was assigned a room. Magus gave her an evil glare as they headed out of the throne room. Lucca just hurried off to her room. The guards where informed by Dalton (who had no choice but to tell them) that the young purple haired lady was also a prophet. The guards spread the word and the people of Zeal became curious about this new prophet.
Lucca closed the door and locked it. With that Prophet whom she had already figured out was Magus out there, the guards watching, the curious people of Zeal waiting to catch her to ask her questions about they're future... It would not be easy to return to the End of Time.
Lucca decided to wait until the night to make her escape. She had to deal with keeping her prophet act during dinner and making sure that her 'predictions' and Magus's 'predictions' fit together. There was a celebration and Lucca took the opportunity to 'get lost' between the many guests and escape.
Lucca arrived at the End of Time to see everyone wearing the gifts they got from Marle. Even Ayla. How Marle got her in that dress only the Entity knows. Her best friend Crono was the first to run to her. "Lucca You had us worried!"
"I'm ok Crono I just ran into something unexpected" Lucca hoped they didn't ask for details.
"That's a pretty dress Lucca" Marle said. Lucca had put on a fancy dress that was prepared for her to attend the celebration that night in the Kingdom of Zeal. She didn't waste time changing but she did bring her clothes after all if she didn't Marle would probably either cry because she lost the gift or go back to Zeal and get herself into trouble trying to bring it back.
"Thanks..." Please don't ask!
"Where you in a party without us?" Marle asked.
When Ayla heard the word party she jumped. "Ayla want party! Lucca tell Ayla where party? Ayla want go!"
Lucca found herself cornered by all the questions coming mostly from Marle and Ayla. She told tell them what happened in detail as Marle had insisted.
After Lucca finished telling everyone what happened they all started to make plans. They knew they had to go back and do something about that Mammon Machine and since Lucca was the one who knew the most about the Kingdom of Zeal plus she already had a reputation as a Prophet, there was no question that she had to be in the group or so said Crono.
"I can't..." Lucca complained, this took Crono by surprise and he didn't waste any time before asking her why? "I told you all about the Kingdom of Zeal so you don't need me to come along. Beside this entire prophet thing is a bad thing because it will draw attention to us. People will be following me around asking me about their future plus the Queen was a bit suspicious all the time I'm sure of it even if she tried to hide it. Then there's the fact that you're going to destroy the Mammon Machine not fix it, I may be good at fixing machines but not destroying them..."
"You do have some points there" Crono admitted. "Ok, so you sit this one out Lucca! What about you, Marle? Are you coming this time?"
"Sorry Crono... I think I'll sit this one out too and keep Lucca some company" And have some girl talk while I'm at it
"Ok... so who will come this time?" Crono's question was quickly answered...
"Ayla come! Ayla bored here so Ayla want go! Ayla smash evil machine! Crono no worry Ayla take care of it!"
"Alright Ayla! I know I'm going so we need one more person... It's either Frog or Robo... who will it be?" Crono looked at both of them.
"I be curious of this new place, so if it would be alright with thou I will like to be of assistance in thee mission" Frog said.
"Then we're set to go! We leave tomorrow first thing in the morning!" It happened like Crono said, the three of them left early in the morning. Earlier than planner thanks to an impatient Ayla.
This left Only Lucca, Marle, Robo, the old man and Spekino in the End of Time. Not that the last three where much company... Spekino stayed in his room, the old man was asleep most of the time and Robo sat quietly in a corner running maintenance programs in his hard disk.
"Let's go sit over there Lucca!" Marle pointed at a spot in the corner of the area where the pillars of light are. This place was the farthest away from all the other currently on the End of Time. It didn't take much effort for Lucca to guess that questions where coming or as Marle called it 'girl talk'.
Once they where sitting there Marle started. "So Lucca... Tell me..." And so Lucca's 'interrogatory' began. Not that she didn't enjoy talking to Marle, she did but Marle just asked too many questions and wanted too many details...
Later that day Crono, Ayla and Frog returned with bad news... The time gate to Zeal was closed and there was no way to get in! How ever this changed after talking to that old man that was always in the End of Time. He told them of a time machine, the Wings of Time! This time it was Crono, Marle and Lucca who where on the mission!
Getting to the time machine wasn't really that hard and with some help from a Nu they where soon on they're way.
Once in Earthbound village they learned that the Guru of Life had been captured and of course they went to his rescue. It was a hard battle in the mountain but they won. This victory didn't last very long because Schala was kidnapped by Dalton.
With no time to waste Crono, Marle and Lucca headed for the Ocean Palace. It was hard enough to get there but things got worse. The Prophet had revealed himself to everyone as Magus. They faced Lavos in battle for the first time and Crono lost his life trying to save everyone.
After being teleported out of the Ocean Palace by Schala, Lucca and Marle set off to find a way to bring Crono back both refusing to accept that he was gone forever. They chose Robo to travel with them, Lucca said he'd be the best choice. Robo spend most of the time confused trying to figure out Marle and Lucca's 'human emotions' but otherwise he was good company.
The three of them decided to look for clues and that is when they got captured by Dalton who stole the Epoch! Next thing they knew they where inside the Black Bird which was in mid air. Escaping from they're cell wasn't the hard part, finding they're equipment without getting caught was. But once they got everything back they where ready to go.
After a fight with a Golem sent by Dalton which was won mostly thanks to Lucca's fire attacks, Marle had jumped off the Black Bird in anger and frustration. She landed on the Epoch and was followed by Lucca and Robo who fought Dalton and ended up making him fall off the Epoch. (Actually it was his own fault...)
After a little accident with the controls which made the Black Bird reach land in not so nice way and stay on the ground forever (in other words it crashed) Lucca had managed to figure out the new controls and they safely landed near the village.
Lucca realized Marle needed a time out. This has affected her a lot, not that it affected Lucca any less but she was better at staying in control of herself. So Marle and Robo returned to the End of Time and Lucca would now travel with Ayla and Frog...
They where told that someone they knew was waiting for them. Well, Lucca was told anyway... So the three of them went to investigate. What came next was a surprise to all of them. They found no other than Magus.
Before Lucca had the chance to get herself to react Frog already had his sword, the legendary Masamune in an attack position. It seamed that Ayla also wanted some action.
"Do you want to fight me?" Magus asked certain that the answer would be affirmative, and from Frog and Ayla it was but not from Lucca.
She jumped in between them to stop them from fighting. "No we don't!"
"Afraid?" Magus asked.
"It's not that Jan-Jan" Said Lucca without taking her eyes off him, waiting for his reaction.
Magus became pale, even more than usual. His sister sometimes called him that long ago but not when people where listening! Lucca must have over heard. Magus regained his color (not much of a different but still) and pretended he didn't know what she was talking about. He quickly changed the topic by saying stuff about Crono which angered Frog and confused Ayla.
Before Frog drew his sword again Lucca insisted that it was time to go and leave Magus alone. This is when Frog started complaining and saying stuff about Cyrus that no one understood or maybe it was just the way he was saying them. Not only was he talking his usual (or should I say unusual?) way of speech but he wanted to say so much at the same time that he ended up saying parts of incomplete sentences that didn't make much sense.
Tired of listening to Frog's complaining Magus revealed that there was a way to bring Crono back. At hearing this Lucca forgot about staying away from him and quickly asked for more details. Surprisingly Magus explained. After getting the necessary information Lucca had to ask Ayla to drag Frog away. Lucca was holding the Masamune for him so that he wouldn't try anything, while Ayla carried him and Frog kept complaining.
Magus watched the scene and grinned. Frog saw him and this made him angrier. But Ayla was pretty strong so she managed to hang on to Frog and drag him away.
"Wait!" Magus called out to them. "I'm coming with you" Another big surprise. Frog wasn't too happy about the idea, in fact he hated the idea but he had no say so in it or more like they didn't let him say anything.
The four of them reached the End of Time where they left Frog and the Masamune and picked up the Chrono Trigger. Just as they where about to leave Marle said she wanted to come but it was not a good idea to leave Frog and Magus in the same place right now so Magus had to come along.
When Frog asked why not let Magus stay Ayla answered his question. "Blue hair friend now Frog must learn be friend!"
Again they got some help from that same Nu that helped with the time machine before and they headed for the mountain. The journey up was very hard and Lucca specially hated the cold. It's no wonder after all her element is fire. Between rest stops and delay from either Lucca's or Marle's complaining it took them the rest of the day to get half way up the mountain. At least the winds have stopped. They saw a cave ahead where they would take shelter for the night. They're plans where changed when they entered the cave and found a Lavos Spawn.
After another hard battle the Lavos Spawn was defeated. "If that's how this little one is I can't imagine who strong the big Lavos is" Said Marle still trying to catch her breath.
"A lot stronger" Stated Lucca who was in the same condition as Marle.
On the other hand Magus didn't take too long to recover and he seamed to be ok now. Without saying a word he started a fire and the three of them sat around it for a while before eating some of the food they brought and going to sleep...
Lucca looked around the darkness of the cave. Marle was asleep near by. For being a princess she could sleep anywhere! Lucca thought. But the young genius couldn't sleep as easily as the princess so she got up and walked outside. She wasn't planning on going far, she just wanted some fresh air and as she left the cave she didn't notice that Magus was not inside...
Lucca walked until she was a bit far from the cave but not too far. She sat down on a rock and thought about the things that have been happening lately.
Lucca got up again and walked some more not realizing that she was getting further away from the cave than she thought. She had now walked all around the mountain all the way to the other side she realized that there was another cave there which she assumed was connected to the one they where staying in overnight. Lucca decided to go have a look inside, not a very good choice...
The next thing heard where the screams of the young purple haired woman known as Lucca when she found that she was not the only one in that cave. There was another one of those mini Lavos that they found before.
Lucca's voice echoed all around the cave's tunnel's and reached Marle's ears. How ever the echo didn't really sound like Lucca voice it sounded more like a distant ghostly voice. The princess sat up and looked around in the darkness. She saw a bit of light from outside, there was a full moon but in the section of the cave where she was sitting it was dark.... Marle got up and moved to the entrance of the cave where there was moon light.
"Hey Lucca did you hear that?" Marle who was now standing at the entrance of the cave spoke in the direction of which she thought Lucca was sleeping. "Hey Lucca! Wake up!" She said louder not caring if she woke up Magus because she thought he was still there even if he really wasn't. "Lucca!!!" Marle's voice echoed but still she got no response. "Lucca?! Oh, my... I don't think she's here... Hey Magus! Are you awake? Magus!!!" Still no answer... "I'm all alone here..."
Meanwhile Lucca was cornered. This 'mini Lavos' was stronger than the first one and it had some kind of magic shield! Her fire attacks didn't work and her gun was almost out of energy! She continued to shoot non stop hoping that it would die before her gun was completely out of energy. No such luck. Her gun stopped responding.
Lucca closed her eyes she was sure that her life would end in just a few seconds. She heard some noises as if a sharp object was cutting something hard. "You're sure good at getting yourself into trouble" Lucca opened her eyes to see Magus...
It was easy for him to finish off the 'mini Lavos' because Lucca had taken out a lot more HP than she thought. "Magus?! How did you find me?"
"I'd have to be deaf not to find you. Why didn't you stay in the cave?"
"I was just taking a walk and.... It's non of your busyness anyway. I'll do what I want!"
"You do what I tell you!" Magus said raising his voice.
"I'll do what I want!" Lucca spoke or yelled louder than him.
"Hello?" A third voice was heard. "Anybody here?" Marle called out.
Lucca and Magus had stopped arguing when they heard her. Lucca went over to Marle. "I'm here"
Marle recognized the voice as Lucca's she ran to her until she was close enough to the other cave exit to see Lucca in the moon light. "Lucca! You're alive! I woke up and I was all alone in that cave and the reason I woke up was because I heard a ghost!"
"Ghost? That's impossible" Lucca said.
"Really! I did hear one!" Marle insisted.
"Let's get some rest...ok?" Lucca said trying to make her calm down.
The next morning they left the second the sun raised. They had climbed a lot more than they thought and where close to the top. Once there they used the Chrono Trigger.
"All who fear the night and stand against the darkness, please give us strength" Marle said holding the Chrono Trigger on top of the mountain.
"The pendant!" Lucca held it close to the Chrono Trigger as it started to glow.
The Chrono Trigger floated into the sky and shattered...
"What happened?" Marle asked fearing the worst. "Lucca? Tell me what happened? Tell me that was supposed to happen!"
"Marle I... I don't know..."
The sky turned dark and they where teleported to that instant in which Crono lost his life.
"A time freeze..." Said Magus is his usual I-don't-care tone.
They exchanged Crono with the Crono clone and got out of there as quickly as possible. Once back on the mountain top Marle and Lucca told Crono about everything that he missed. They stayed there all day and decided to go back down the mountain and to the End of Time the next day, after all with time travel you have time for everything and there's no need to be in a hurry.
Later Marle and Crono where in the cave in which they stayed the night before. Marle was telling Crono the story about the ghost she heard and no one believed her. Meanwhile Lucca noticed that Magus was gone she wondered where he when off to and decided to have a look and give Crono and Marle some time alone.
Magus was standing on the maintain top, his cape and long blue hair moving in light wind. That breeze felt so good! "The silver wind..." He whispered.
"What?" Lucca asked.
"The silver wind... It's the first time I feel it but I know that's it"
"If the black wind means something bad will happen then what does the silver wind mean? Something good?" She asked.
"Yes..." He felt the wind again and this time Lucca felt it too.
"Did you feel it too? That means it's the start of something..."
"Yes..." She smiled. "I don't know what it is but somehow I can tell it's the start of something good!" She watched the sun set, whatever was going to happen was something good, maybe a little unexpected but good.

Lucca stood at the entrance to Magus's castle. She was with Crono and Frog. She looked at the big dark castle, there where bats flying around and the statue of a dragon on top of the tallest tower.
The 3 of them entered the castle where they fought many battles. To think that Lucca could be missing this! Yes, she remembered what had happened... Crono had to go and so did Frog but who else would go? Marle had complained that she was being 'left behind' when if realty she wasn't but it worked anyway. That is until she took one look at the castle and decided she wanted to go back to the End of Time! They could have taken Robo but no his glowing eye light would attack too much attention and he could turn them off because if he did he couldn't see where he was going let alone fight, Then there was Ayla, much too noisy for the job... So finally Lucca was they're only hope! It was either go to Magus's castle with Lucca or Crono and Frog would go alone! Lucca didn't like the idea of going but she was tired of being in the End of Time and she wanted to keep busy doing something other than fixing Robo over and over even if nothing was wrong so she accepted the invitation.
After countless battles they had finally arrived at the place where they expected to have the final battle with Magus! It was dark and creepy. Blue flames lit the way as the 3 got closer.
"Zeuga Ziena Ziber Zom"
The first few words heard made Lucca jumped and reach for her gun but she didn't get to shot. She was glad it was dark because even if it made it creepier than it already was no one could see what just happened.
"Now the chosen time has come" So he did speak our language. Lucca wondered what the first few words meant but she didn't like to think too much about the last. The chosen time? The chosen time for what?
"Exchange this world for-"
Before Magus could finish Flog interrupted. After a little argument about kissing princesses or something like that the battle began.
For a few seconds Lucca just stood there. Was this another of Magus's soldiers? No, this was him. This was actually Magus. She expected someone much more... scary. Not that he didn't try to look scary but that was it he tried and she knew it. Lucca wondered if he even looked scary when he wasn't trying to...
Until now Magus has been fighting Frog and Crono and completely ignoring Lucca. Because she didn't attack right away he didn't think she would. Mistake number one.
Lucca took her gun with both hands and aimed at Magus. They where moving quickly so by the time to shot got there it passed dangerously close to Frog and missed the target. But the next one didn't miss!
Because the second shot didn't miss Magus noticed Lucca and decided to do something about her. He used a powerful 'Thunder2' that shocked not only Lucca but also Crono and Frog.
Frog responded to the magic attack by using a water attack which to tell the truth wasn't very powerful. In fact Magus didn't even bother to stop it and in the end all the Frog did was get Magus wet which was a nice way to stay cool in battle.
Crono's attack was a lot more powerful but Magus was used to magic so he was able to counter attack and cancel Crono's attack before it reached him. How ever he didn't expect Lucca's fire attack.
The battle continued for a while longer until the Earth started shaking. Earthquake? No, Lavos!
"Bad timing! Don't wake up on me now!"
Hearing what Magus said Lucca couldn't help but ask: "Wake up? Didn't you create him?"
Before Magus could reply a huge black portal appeared, a gate! Even without getting an answer to her question Lucca had come to the conclusion that Magus didn't create Lavos, yet she had no idea where it came from... She would have made a mental list of possibilities if it weren't for the fact that she along with Crono, Frog and Magus where too busy falling into the huge gate that closed after the four fell into it.
Lucca, Crono and Frog where the first to fall in it. Magus managed to stay behind so the three heroes didn't know if he fell into the gate later or not. The truth is that he did but because it took him longer to fall in the gate took him to a different time than it did Crono, Lucca and Frog.
By the time Lucca, Crono and Frog woke up they where in pre-history in Ayla's hut. After another little adventure this time in the Tyrano Lair they found out where Lavos came from. This was getting very interesting. Marle wanted to join in and Lucca didn't want to leave. As the leader Crono had to stay so Frog returned to the End of Time so that Crono, Lucca and Marle could explore the Kingdom of Zeal.
Marle looked around. "It's it amazing how this place just floats in the air just like that"
"Nothing happens just like that" Said Lucca. "There must be some kind of power source keeping this continent up here! But what can be so powerful.... maybe we can find out if we talk to the people that live here"
"Good idea Lucca" Marle smiled, she was planning something... "I'll check for clues in the store and do some shopping while I'm at it. Crono, could you come with me please? We'll meet back here in an hour. See you later Lucca"
Lucca watched as Marle dragged Crono to the nearest store and he told her to slow down. Slow down? Why didn't he just tell her not to go shopping? Lucca sighted. At least she would have a quiet next hour to learn as much as she could about this time.
As she explored she saw a little boy with blue hair and a blue cat. That boy reminded her of someone but she didn't know who. Lucca decided it was noting of importance and so continued studying the surrounding area.
"The Black Wind blows..." The blue-haired boy said.
Lucca looked at him. "What is it?"
"Someone you know will leave this world..." The boy said.
"What do you mean? What are you talking about?" Lucca was confused but not worried after all this was just some little kid what did he know?
The boy gave no answer, he just walked away and stopped for a few seconds only to call his cat. "Alfador!" The blue cat followed him.
Lucca stood there for a few seconds thinking about what happened. Why did she give this little incident so much importance? Who was that boy? Why did he remind her of someone? She decided to find out!
Lucca ran in the direction that the blue haired boy and the cat went. She wasn't paying much attention to where she was going and bumped into someone dressed in black. "Sorry" She had a strange feeling... Who was this person? She tried to look at his face which was almost completely covered but he looked away. She only got a small glimpse at his eyes...
"It's ok, just watch where you're going" Said the Prophet and he continued walking in the opposite direction to where Lucca was heading. He didn't want to attract attention, that could ruin his plans but now he had something else to deal with. This girl was the same one that was at his castle and if she was here the others including Glenn must be here too.
Lucca stood there not moving for the next few seconds until the prophet was out of sight. What's wrong with me? She thought. It wasn't the first time this day when she just spaced out and stood there motionless for a few seconds. The first time it was at Magus's castle, then a few minutes ago when she met that strange boy and now. But why was it that she got the same strange feeling from Magus, the blue haired boy and the man in black?
Lucca shook her head and continued on her way. The blue haired boy was probably gone by now but even if she didn't find him it didn't matter. How much important information could he give her anyway? But somehow Lucca knew that this mysterious boy knew more than he was telling, much more.
"I'm sorry Jan-Jan I have to go now" Lucca heard a woman's voice. She was coming her way.
"I know Schala but..." A boy's voice said. Could it be that same blue haired boy?
"We've already talked about this Janus... I'm sorry, just hang on to what I gave you ok?" The woman said.
"Yes, Schala" Replied the boy.
The 2 where just passing by next to Lucca. "Hello, I don't think I've seen you before" Said Schala.
"I'm new around here, I'm visiting" Lucca tried to sound like a regular tourist but then again how would a 'regular' tourist get up to that floating continent?
"Schala" The boy complained. "I thought you had to go, the sooner you do what she wants the sooner you'll come back you said so Schala"
"Yes, it's true... I'm Schala and this is my brother Janus I can't stay but I hope you enjoy your visit"
"Thanks, my name's Lucca"
"Nice meeting you, I guess I'll be on my way now..."
"Ok, nice to meet you too"
Schala left, Lucca, Janus and Alfador stood there in silence after she was gone. Lucca was trying to figure out who Janus reminded her of and Janus was just staring into emptiness lost in thought until Alfador broke the silence. "Meow!"
"Cute cat" She tried to pet him.
"Alfador only likes me!" Janus said still looking away.
"Prrrr!" Looks like Alfador likes Lucca too. ^_~
"Alfador!" Janus called his cat away from Lucca. "Let's go Alfador!" Janus left followed by Alfador.
I should be going back to finding information about this place... After talking to a few more people Lucca had a good amount of useful information. It seamed that the people from the Kingdom of Zeal or as they called each other the 'Enlightened' ones liked to brag about they're kingdom so it was easy to get information from them.
The hour passed quickly and soon Lucca was waiting for Crono and Marle to return. 20 minutes later they got there. And I thought I was going to be late Lucca thought.
Crono was carrying a bunch of boxes. "So what did you find out Lucca?" He asked from behind the boxes.
"I found out a lot of interesting things about this place, why it floats in the sky like this, they're current situation, they're plans for the future and the kingdom's relation to Lavos"
"I found out they have a good sense of style" I don't even have to tell you that it was Marle who said this. Lucca wondered if Marle heard the same things everyone else heard or if she just found the subject of shopping so much more interesting than the subject of saving the world...
"Look at this!" Marle took a dress out of one of the boxes Crono was holding. "Isn't it great? That's not all, I bought it at this pretty store for women's clothes and I didn't forget you"
Oh, no, Lucca's fears came true. She watched as Marle put her dress back into it's box and looked at the boxes, searching for a specific box. The box that the princess was searching for was at the bottom. "Found it!" She exclaimed happily as she pulled out the box making the other boxes fall on Crono.
"Crono please be more careful with the things we bought. Here you go Lucca and I got one for Ayla too" Marle handed Lucca the pink box and searched for the one that had Ayla's dress so she could show it to Lucca.
After seeing Ayla's dress and all the dresses and accessories Marle got for herself the fashion show was no where near over. Next Marle showed her the things she got for the guys using Crono as the model.
After Marle's little fashion show was finally over the princess noticed Lucca had not yet opened the pink box. "Go on Lucca Open it! I know you'll like it"
Lucca sighted and opened the box almost afraid to look but to her surprise she actually like the cloths that Marle got for her. They where elegant without being too fancy and they looked comfortable. "Thanks"
"I knew you would like it!" Cheered Marle. "Put it on! C'mon let's go find a bathroom somewhere so we can change!" Ten minutes later they where in they're new clothes...
"Ok, now that we changed and you showed me everything you bought I have to tell you guys something!"
"What is it Lucca?" Asked Crono.
"It's about this place. I found out that people in this time are divided into 'Enlightens' and 'Earthbound' the Enlightened have magic and the Earthbound don't. This, the Kingdom of Zeal floats in the air by a power supplied by the Mammon Machine. It also gets power from Sun Stones but the power of the Sun Stones is running out and soon the kingdom will depend only from the power of the Mammon Machine and where does the Mammon Machine get it's energy? From Lavos!"
"LAVOS?! But that's... that's... it's just... it's wrong!"
"Yes, Marle it is wrong and we're supposed to be stopping it!"
Crono stood in silence while the two girls talked or rather while Lucca tried to explain things to Marle and she only understood half of it. Finally our young red haired hero said something. "I think we should return to the End of Time" That's all it took, soon they where on they're way back to the End of Time to inform the others about what they... about what Lucca found out!
Once the situation was clear or as clear as possible it was time to choose the new team of three members as usual. Lucca knew the most about the Kingdom of Zeal and there was the thing about the Mammon Machine, if there was a machine involved it was best to have Lucca along.
Marle was currently busy trying to get everyone to wear the things she got for them. She was chasing Ayla all over the End of Time! Frog was practicing with the Masamune sparring with Spekino. So that leaves Robo... The only problem was that he might attract attention! From the things that Lucca talked about in the End of Time if they where going to get a look at that Mammon Machine they had to be careful not to get caught.
"I'll go alone..." Lucca finally said.
"You can't!" Crono argued. "It's dangerous to go alone!"
"Crono I can do this! Besides what will you or anyone else do there? I'm the one who has to take a look at that machine. Don't worry, I'll be careful and I'll be back as soon as I'm done"
After arguing a little more Crono finally agreed and Lucca was off to the Kingdom of Zeal by herself. As she looked around she saw a woman and Schala was with her. From what she heard this was Queen Zeal and Schala was a princess. That means Janus was the prince of Zeal.
Lucca kept watching quietly. Schala opened the door using her pendant which looked just like Marle's pendant. Lucca didn't have to go back to the End of Time to get it, she already had it. Marle insisted that she put it on because it matched her new outfit. She told Lucca to be very careful with it and return it later.
Lucca ran off to examine the Mammon Machine after trying to open the door and failing to do so. Surprisingly the guard that where there before where gone and the Mammon Machine was unguarded. Lucca made sure not to mess it up while she examined it, after all she wouldn't want that continent to fall out of the sky while she was still on it.
After she was done she left. She later found out that all of the guards where helping in the construction of the 'Ocean Palace' and that is why the Mammon Machine was unguarded for the moment. Lucca saw a group of guards heading to the room of the Mammon Machine, she had gotten out of there just in time.
Lucca noticed that Marle's pendant was glowing. She had a feeling she should try to open the door again, so she tried and this time it worked.
"That door was sealed how dare you just come in here? Who are you?" Dalton was the first to notice Lucca.
Before she could answer Schala spoke. "Stop it Dalton!"
"I'm sorry Miss Schala do you know this girl?" He asked trying to hide his anger, he had a bad temper and he was angry about the Queen paying more attention to the Prophet than to him. It looked like everything he said the Prophet said the opposite and got his way. He wanted to take it all out on someone and Schala just ruined that opportunity.
The door had stayed open for a few minutes, enough time for Janus to run in followed by his cat, Alfador. "Schala!"
"Janus!"
"Enough!" Queen Zeal got up. "This is not a public reunion! Janus go back to your room and take that cat with you! Prophet, you are a prophet so tell me who this girl is"
Magus glared at Lucca. He had to put up some kind of prophet act now! "Her name is..." He thought for a minute. Had Glenn and the red haired boy called her when she was at his castle? He couldn't remember them saying any names... He was about to make up a fake name when Schala spoke.
"Her name is Lucca" Schala somehow sensed that the girls intentions where good and she didn't want an innocent person to suffer like many had lately all because of that Ocean Palace project.
"Prophet" The queen looked at him suspiciously. "How is it that you could not tell me her name?"
Magus thought quickly. Maybe too quickly because he said the first excuse that popped into his head. "Other Prophets can block they're minds and-" He stopped, he regretted saying that.
Queen Zeal looked at the Prophet (Magus) still suspicious then she looked at Lucca just as suspicious. "Another Prophet? What can you tell me about this kingdom Lucca?"
Lucca told her everything she had learned but the trouble came when the queen asked about the future. Lucca glared at Magus. He understood, if she said something wrong it would affect him too because he said she was also a prophet. He nodded indicating she could say something and he would support it, he had no choice.
Using all of her logic she made her 'predictions'. Magus was both surprised and relieved to see how smart this girl was. After she was done she had earned the queen's trust. Schala knew Lucca was making everything up and upon this discovery she came to the conclusion that the Prophet was also making stuff up. But she was against the Mammon Machine and the construction of the Ocean Palace, she was against Lavos so she didn't say anything, maybe these people where here to help.
The good news was the Queen Zeal bought it. Convinced that she was dealing with 2 expert Prophets that would be eternally loyal to her she explained in detail her plans. While she did Magus made a few comments every now and then about how the future will be if she did what she was saying she would. He was 'playing' with her mind and Schala noticed but still she remained quiet. Lucca realized the situation and started making comments too so that the queen would not be suspicious of her.
After the meeting was over Lucca was assigned a room. Magus gave her an evil glare as they headed out of the throne room. Lucca just hurried off to her room. The guards where informed by Dalton (who had no choice but to tell them) that the young purple haired lady was also a prophet. The guards spread the word and the people of Zeal became curious about this new prophet.
Lucca closed the door and locked it. With that Prophet whom she had already figured out was Magus out there, the guards watching, the curious people of Zeal waiting to catch her to ask her questions about they're future... It would not be easy to return to the End of Time.
Lucca decided to wait until the night to make her escape. She had to deal with keeping her prophet act during dinner and making sure that her 'predictions' and Magus's 'predictions' fit together. There was a celebration and Lucca took the opportunity to 'get lost' between the many guests and escape.
Lucca arrived at the End of Time to see everyone wearing the gifts they got from Marle. Even Ayla. How Marle got her in that dress only the Entity knows. Her best friend Crono was the first to run to her. "Lucca You had us worried!"
"I'm ok Crono I just ran into something unexpected" Lucca hoped they didn't ask for details.
"That's a pretty dress Lucca" Marle said. Lucca had put on a fancy dress that was prepared for her to attend the celebration that night in the Kingdom of Zeal. She didn't waste time changing but she did bring her clothes after all if she didn't Marle would probably either cry because she lost the gift or go back to Zeal and get herself into trouble trying to bring it back.
"Thanks..." Please don't ask!
"Where you in a party without us?" Marle asked.
When Ayla heard the word party she jumped. "Ayla want party! Lucca tell Ayla where party? Ayla want go!"
Lucca found herself cornered by all the questions coming mostly from Marle and Ayla. She told tell them what happened in detail as Marle had insisted.
After Lucca finished telling everyone what happened they all started to make plans. They knew they had to go back and do something about that Mammon Machine and since Lucca was the one who knew the most about the Kingdom of Zeal plus she already had a reputation as a Prophet, there was no question that she had to be in the group or so said Crono.
"I can't..." Lucca complained, this took Crono by surprise and he didn't waste any time before asking her why? "I told you all about the Kingdom of Zeal so you don't need me to come along. Beside this entire prophet thing is a bad thing because it will draw attention to us. People will be following me around asking me about their future plus the Queen was a bit suspicious all the time I'm sure of it even if she tried to hide it. Then there's the fact that you're going to destroy the Mammon Machine not fix it, I may be good at fixing machines but not destroying them..."
"You do have some points there" Crono admitted. "Ok, so you sit this one out Lucca! What about you, Marle? Are you coming this time?"
"Sorry Crono... I think I'll sit this one out too and keep Lucca some company" And have some girl talk while I'm at it
"Ok... so who will come this time?" Crono's question was quickly answered...
"Ayla come! Ayla bored here so Ayla want go! Ayla smash evil machine! Crono no worry Ayla take care of it!"
"Alright Ayla! I know I'm going so we need one more person... It's either Frog or Robo... who will it be?" Crono looked at both of them.
"I be curious of this new place, so if it would be alright with thou I will like to be of assistance in thee mission" Frog said.
"Then we're set to go! We leave tomorrow first thing in the morning!" It happened like Crono said, the three of them left early in the morning. Earlier than planner thanks to an impatient Ayla.
This left Only Lucca, Marle, Robo, the old man and Spekino in the End of Time. Not that the last three where much company... Spekino stayed in his room, the old man was asleep most of the time and Robo sat quietly in a corner running maintenance programs in his hard disk.
"Let's go sit over there Lucca!" Marle pointed at a spot in the corner of the area where the pillars of light are. This place was the farthest away from all the other currently on the End of Time. It didn't take much effort for Lucca to guess that questions where coming or as Marle called it 'girl talk'.
Once they where sitting there Marle started. "So Lucca... Tell me..." And so Lucca's 'interrogatory' began. Not that she didn't enjoy talking to Marle, she did but Marle just asked too many questions and wanted too many details...
Later that day Crono, Ayla and Frog returned with bad news... The time gate to Zeal was closed and there was no way to get in! How ever this changed after talking to that old man that was always in the End of Time. He told them of a time machine, the Wings of Time! This time it was Crono, Marle and Lucca who where on the mission!
Getting to the time machine wasn't really that hard and with some help from a Nu they where soon on they're way.
Once in Earthbound village they learned that the Guru of Life had been captured and of course they went to his rescue. It was a hard battle in the mountain but they won. This victory didn't last very long because Schala was kidnapped by Dalton.
With no time to waste Crono, Marle and Lucca headed for the Ocean Palace. It was hard enough to get there but things got worse. The Prophet had revealed himself to everyone as Magus. They faced Lavos in battle for the first time and Crono lost his life trying to save everyone.
After being teleported out of the Ocean Palace by Schala, Lucca and Marle set off to find a way to bring Crono back both refusing to accept that he was gone forever. They chose Robo to travel with them, Lucca said he'd be the best choice. Robo spend most of the time confused trying to figure out Marle and Lucca's 'human emotions' but otherwise he was good company.
The three of them decided to look for clues and that is when they got captured by Dalton who stole the Epoch! Next thing they knew they where inside the Black Bird which was in mid air. Escaping from they're cell wasn't the hard part, finding they're equipment without getting caught was. But once they got everything back they where ready to go.
After a fight with a Golem sent by Dalton which was won mostly thanks to Lucca's fire attacks, Marle had jumped off the Black Bird in anger and frustration. She landed on the Epoch and was followed by Lucca and Robo who fought Dalton and ended up making him fall off the Epoch. (Actually it was his own fault...)
After a little accident with the controls which made the Black Bird reach land in not so nice way and stay on the ground forever (in other words it crashed) Lucca had managed to figure out the new controls and they safely landed near the village.
Lucca realized Marle needed a time out. This has affected her a lot, not that it affected Lucca any less but she was better at staying in control of herself. So Marle and Robo returned to the End of Time and Lucca would now travel with Ayla and Frog...
They where told that someone they knew was waiting for them. Well, Lucca was told anyway... So the three of them went to investigate. What came next was a surprise to all of them. They found no other than Magus.
Before Lucca had the chance to get herself to react Frog already had his sword, the legendary Masamune in an attack position. It seamed that Ayla also wanted some action.
"Do you want to fight me?" Magus asked certain that the answer would be affirmative, and from Frog and Ayla it was but not from Lucca.
She jumped in between them to stop them from fighting. "No we don't!"
"Afraid?" Magus asked.
"It's not that Jan-Jan" Said Lucca without taking her eyes off him, waiting for his reaction.
Magus became pale, even more than usual. His sister sometimes called him that long ago but not when people where listening! Lucca must have over heard. Magus regained his color (not much of a different but still) and pretended he didn't know what she was talking about. He quickly changed the topic by saying stuff about Crono which angered Frog and confused Ayla.
Before Frog drew his sword again Lucca insisted that it was time to go and leave Magus alone. This is when Frog started complaining and saying stuff about Cyrus that no one understood or maybe it was just the way he was saying them. Not only was he talking his usual (or should I say unusual?) way of speech but he wanted to say so much at the same time that he ended up saying parts of incomplete sentences that didn't make much sense.
Tired of listening to Frog's complaining Magus revealed that there was a way to bring Crono back. At hearing this Lucca forgot about staying away from him and quickly asked for more details. Surprisingly Magus explained. After getting the necessary information Lucca had to ask Ayla to drag Frog away. Lucca was holding the Masamune for him so that he wouldn't try anything, while Ayla carried him and Frog kept complaining.
Magus watched the scene and grinned. Frog saw him and this made him angrier. But Ayla was pretty strong so she managed to hang on to Frog and drag him away.
"Wait!" Magus called out to them. "I'm coming with you" Another big surprise. Frog wasn't too happy about the idea, in fact he hated the idea but he had no say so in it or more like they didn't let him say anything.
The four of them reached the End of Time where they left Frog and the Masamune and picked up the Chrono Trigger. Just as they where about to leave Marle said she wanted to come but it was not a good idea to leave Frog and Magus in the same place right now so Magus had to come along.
When Frog asked why not let Magus stay Ayla answered his question. "Blue hair friend now Frog must learn be friend!"
Again they got some help from that same Nu that helped with the time machine before and they headed for the mountain. The journey up was very hard and Lucca specially hated the cold. It's no wonder after all her element is fire. Between rest stops and delay from either Lucca's or Marle's complaining it took them the rest of the day to get half way up the mountain. At least the winds have stopped. They saw a cave ahead where they would take shelter for the night. They're plans where changed when they entered the cave and found a Lavos Spawn.
After another hard battle the Lavos Spawn was defeated. "If that's how this little one is I can't imagine who strong the big Lavos is" Said Marle still trying to catch her breath.
"A lot stronger" Stated Lucca who was in the same condition as Marle.
On the other hand Magus didn't take too long to recover and he seamed to be ok now. Without saying a word he started a fire and the three of them sat around it for a while before eating some of the food they brought and going to sleep...
Lucca looked around the darkness of the cave. Marle was asleep near by. For being a princess she could sleep anywhere! Lucca thought. But the young genius couldn't sleep as easily as the princess so she got up and walked outside. She wasn't planning on going far, she just wanted some fresh air and as she left the cave she didn't notice that Magus was not inside...
Lucca walked until she was a bit far from the cave but not too far. She sat down on a rock and thought about the things that have been happening lately.
Lucca got up again and walked some more not realizing that she was getting further away from the cave than she thought. She had now walked all around the mountain all the way to the other side she realized that there was another cave there which she assumed was connected to the one they where staying in overnight. Lucca decided to go have a look inside, not a very good choice...
The next thing heard where the screams of the young purple haired woman known as Lucca when she found that she was not the only one in that cave. There was another one of those mini Lavos that they found before.
Lucca's voice echoed all around the cave's tunnel's and reached Marle's ears. How ever the echo didn't really sound like Lucca voice it sounded more like a distant ghostly voice. The princess sat up and looked around in the darkness. She saw a bit of light from outside, there was a full moon but in the section of the cave where she was sitting it was dark.... Marle got up and moved to the entrance of the cave where there was moon light.
"Hey Lucca did you hear that?" Marle who was now standing at the entrance of the cave spoke in the direction of which she thought Lucca was sleeping. "Hey Lucca! Wake up!" She said louder not caring if she woke up Magus because she thought he was still there even if he really wasn't. "Lucca!!!" Marle's voice echoed but still she got no response. "Lucca?! Oh, my... I don't think she's here... Hey Magus! Are you awake? Magus!!!" Still no answer... "I'm all alone here..."
Meanwhile Lucca was cornered. This 'mini Lavos' was stronger than the first one and it had some kind of magic shield! Her fire attacks didn't work and her gun was almost out of energy! She continued to shoot non stop hoping that it would die before her gun was completely out of energy. No such luck. Her gun stopped responding.
Lucca closed her eyes she was sure that her life would end in just a few seconds. She heard some noises as if a sharp object was cutting something hard. "You're sure good at getting yourself into trouble" Lucca opened her eyes to see Magus...
It was easy for him to finish off the 'mini Lavos' because Lucca had taken out a lot more HP than she thought. "Magus?! How did you find me?"
"I'd have to be deaf not to find you. Why didn't you stay in the cave?"
"I was just taking a walk and.... It's non of your busyness anyway. I'll do what I want!"
"You do what I tell you!" Magus said raising his voice.
"I'll do what I want!" Lucca spoke or yelled louder than him.
"Hello?" A third voice was heard. "Anybody here?" Marle called out.
Lucca and Magus had stopped arguing when they heard her. Lucca went over to Marle. "I'm here"
Marle recognized the voice as Lucca's she ran to her until she was close enough to the other cave exit to see Lucca in the moon light. "Lucca! You're alive! I woke up and I was all alone in that cave and the reason I woke up was because I heard a ghost!"
"Ghost? That's impossible" Lucca said.
"Really! I did hear one!" Marle insisted.
"Let's get some rest...ok?" Lucca said trying to make her calm down.
The next morning they left the second the sun raised. They had climbed a lot more than they thought and where close to the top. Once there they used the Chrono Trigger.
"All who fear the night and stand against the darkness, please give us strength" Marle said holding the Chrono Trigger on top of the mountain.
"The pendant!" Lucca held it close to the Chrono Trigger as it started to glow.
The Chrono Trigger floated into the sky and shattered...
"What happened?" Marle asked fearing the worst. "Lucca? Tell me what happened? Tell me that was supposed to happen!"
"Marle I... I don't know..."
The sky turned dark and they where teleported to that instant in which Crono lost his life.
"A time freeze..." Said Magus is his usual I-don't-care tone.
They exchanged Crono with the Crono clone and got out of there as quickly as possible. Once back on the mountain top Marle and Lucca told Crono about everything that he missed. They stayed there all day and decided to go back down the mountain and to the End of Time the next day, after all with time travel you have time for everything and there's no need to be in a hurry.
Later Marle and Crono where in the cave in which they stayed the night before. Marle was telling Crono the story about the ghost she heard and no one believed her. Meanwhile Lucca noticed that Magus was gone she wondered where he when off to and decided to have a look and give Crono and Marle some time alone.
Magus was standing on the maintain top, his cape and long blue hair moving in light wind. That breeze felt so good! "The silver wind..." He whispered.
"What?" Lucca asked.
"The silver wind... It's the first time I feel it but I know that's it"
"If the black wind means something bad will happen then what does the silver wind mean? Something good?" She asked.
"Yes..." He felt the wind again and this time Lucca felt it too.
"Did you feel it too? That means it's the start of something..."
"Yes..." She smiled. "I don't know what it is but somehow I can tell it's the start of something good!" She watched the sun set, whatever was going to happen was something good, maybe a little unexpected but good.
