  Sorry it took me so long to get to this! Anyway, I enjoyed this story a lot. I love how Gippal pulls out all the stops to keep Nooj from sacrificing himself, and your concept of why Nooj recorded that sphere for Leblanc. I like the interactions between Nooj and Gippal, especially how their bickering melts into a real talk at the end, and Gippal's internal monologue fits his character really well. The only thing that really caught me out was that Nooj's language seemed too informal in some places, but that's a minor quibble. Nice work on a piece that nicely fills a gap in canon.

  I think you're right about Nooj; I did get a little lax with his dialogue. Some people write him too formal, so I tried to strike a balance.... I think I've been out of it too long!
  
  I was worried about how I wrote Gippal too, particularly the part where he gets angry at Nooj. I wondered if I had him completely in-character. It's hard to picture him being mad!
