Introduction

It's not something you hear every day and if you did, then most people would think you just made it up. The fact that a notebook would fall from the sky is something that would most likely not happen, but to me that was a different story. Yet, no one even knew that this had occurred. At first, I was confused of what my eyes had seen, and then I began trying to find a way to explain it. Different ideas popped up, but not many made much sense. Yet again, could someone actually open a window and drop it off an airplane, maybe a spaceship? No, I didn't think so. Many of you probably think I'm trying to play a prank, but no, I am not. I have evidence of the falling notebook.

You see, every Saturday I go to the park to work on my photography, it was an assignment from my collage professor. I was to take pictures of anything that I played with as a child, of course, I never did go to the park, so I basically took pictures of the scenery; Jungle gym, swings, and anything else a normal child would play on. For my finally picture I decided to take was of the sky, it was a normal clear day, so why not? As I pressed down on the shutter, something had fallen out of the sky. Looking back at the picture, I had absolutely no idea of what it had been. Curiosity taken over and silently hoping it wasn't a bird, I rushed to the fallen object. To my surprise, I realized it had not been a bird with an injury, but what lay on the grass was a simply black notebook. Not even thinking before reacting, I picked it up and looked around; no one seems to be looking for it. Yeah, I'm sure most of you would leave it for the owner to return, but I didn't. Instead of dropping it and returning to my assignment, I sneaked it into my purse, which hung beside my hip and rushed home. From that day one, I never expected things to turn this way.

It had been exactly six days since I found the notebook when I had a special (may I mention, uninvited) guest. He first appeared to me while I was changing. My first reaction, as well as any girl who was changing, was to scream. My topless form fell to the carpet floor and my heart rose, never in my life have I seen something as this. He had long limbs and pale skin, some even stitched together in case it was to come off. His cat like eyes startled me when I first saw them and the lines underneath noted as if he cried leaving the tear stains.

"Hi", he smiled revealing shark-like teeth, "I'm Basil."
