I tapped my foot and fidgeted with the green hair band around my wrist while I waited for the guys to get done with soundcheck. They should been done pretty soon. I looked around the room I was sitting in. It was covered in posters. I read some of the posters and was interrupted when Ryan came walking out of the room.

“Run” Ryan turned the corner and before I could ask questions Brendon was already standing in front of me. “Don’t move” Brendon threatened, and I looked up at him and bit my lip.

I sighed, too tired to kick him between the legs and take off like I always did when he put me in these situations. Did he really care that much about me waking him up this morning? I mean he had to get up anyway. That’s Brendon… he sometimes has a hard time letting things go.

“Fine. Go ahead Brendon. Get me back” I threw my arms out in the air. He pinned my wrists against the back of the two chairs on both sides of me and dipped in closer to my face. Something I was definitely not expecting came next. He moved his face to the bottom of mine, and ran his tongue up the side of my face.

“EW! URIE YOU ARE A DEAD MAN!” I tried to wiggle my arms free. He laughed and raised his eyebrow at me. I felt his wet tongue run up the other side of my face. “Ah, oh my god. I swear Brendon. You better not fucking do it again.” One of my wrists slipped from his grip and I used my free hand to smack him.

“That’s it!” Brendon let go of my other wrist and I took off running down the hall. That’s one thing I loved about Brendon. He was a goof, just like me. We acted like three year olds whenever we were together, which was all the time. Whoever made fun of us, we tried to pull in to the fun and they eventually ended up acting like three year olds too. Seriously, everyone should act like a three year old every once in a while.

As I ran down the hallway, I wiped the sides of my face. It was gross having Brendon’s salvia all over my face. I figured I ran far enough, and Brendon had given up. I backed up against the wall and slid down to the ground. I wiped my face with my hands multiple times. Brendon took off running past me and I tried to hold in my laugh. It was impossible, he almost fell rounding the corner and then he was totally oblivious to me sitting on the ground. He must of heard me and backed up. He raised his eyebrows as he stood in front of me and I wiped his spit on my hands on his pants. “There, have your cooties back”

Brendon laughed and sat down next to me. “Okay I give up. Im too TIRED to play today” Brendon emphasized tired, insinuating it was my fault since I woke him up today. “Good” I wiped at my face more. God who picked the carpet in these places? This one was almost as hideous as our hotel carpet. Why was I so obsessed with carpet? Do I really have that short of an attention span? Brendon interrupted my thoughts of the horrible carpet patterns and moved his face closer to mine.

“Jeez, calm down. Im pretty sure its all gone. Well, now it isn’t” Brendon licked my face again.
“Oh god I hate that!” I screamed and pushed him. “Okay, okay, let’s see how you like it” I pulled him in by his shirt collar and licked his face. Brendon just smiled and I made a face. “I think it was more gross for me than you” I laughed and got up along with Brendon.

“Did you ever notice how gross the carpet always is in places?” I kind of thought out loud as I skipped down the hall.

“What?” Brendon laughed and looked at me. I just kept staring at the blue on gold paisley pattern with occasional pink flowers. Seriously, what were people thinking? “Eh, never mind” I shrugged and continued down the hall.

We walked further down the hall and past many rooms with numbers on them. We walked in silence for a while. Not an awkward silence, of course. We didn’t have awkward silences. That was another reason why I loved being around Brendon. Never awkward, always fun.

“You’re right” I looked over at Brendon who was now staring at the ground.

“What?” I asked, not quite sure what I was right about. Well, I knew I was right about a lot of things when it came to mine and Brendon’s arguments.

“The carpet.” Brendon scrunched his face up and I laughed.

“Here are the two little kids. Can’t take our eyes off them for two minutes” Spencer laughed and Brendon and I looked up from the disgusting carpet to meet Spencer’s eyes.

“I think you are the one we shouldn’t take our eyes off, Spence” I raised my eyebrows, remembering the elevator incident.

Brendon laughed a little and nudged me. “Oh no she didn’t” I walked around Spencer and out the door. It was a beautiful day outside, and I really didn’t feel like sitting inside a venue at a merch table today. I admired the Illinois scenery as I waited for the guys to come out. I tapped my fingers aside the bus and banged my head off the bus slightly.

“Don’t do that. You’ll get more brain damage” Ryan opened the door and headed up the stairs. “Asshole” I laughed as I followed behind him. I collapsed on the red velvety couch. I looked at the carpet that covered the floor of the bus.

“See, this carpet isn’t bad” I traced the pattern on the floor with my hand that draped over the side of the couch.

Ryan laughed as he got a soda from the small refrigerator in the kitchenette. “What?” He threw a bottle of water at me and it pegged me in my back. I groaned as I reached back for it. “Nothing. So what did Brendon do to you?” I sat up and untwisted the cap of the water bottle.

“Tackled me as we were walking out… then licked my face. It was totally gross” Ryan took a sip of his soda and started to flip through the channels. Infomercials, cooking show, cartoons, news, oh my god… did Ryan just pass the cartoon channel? Brendon would throw a hissy fit and fight him to the death for the remote if he saw him pass the cartoon channel. I couldn’t blame him… it was the old cartoons and they were pretty awesome.

“That’s weird… he licked my face too. Only he did it three times…” I cringed at the thought and decided I should go wash my face. I twisted the cap back on the bottle and placed it on the side table by the couch.

“He’s disgusting” Ryan laughed and finally decided on a full house episode.
“Nice” I pointed to the screen and headed to the bathroom. I got a wash cloth and soaped it up. I rubbed my face with it, then washed it away with warm water. I dried my face, checked myself in the mirror, and turned to walk out of the bathroom. As soon as I walked out, Brendon was standing there. He smiled, grabbed my face, and yes, you guess it, ran his tongue down the side of it.

“Come on Brendon! I just washed!” I pushed him away from me and he just laughed. I came out to see Jon and Ryan sitting on the couch and Spencer sprawled out on the floor. “Did he do it again?” Ryan glanced away from the tv to look at me. I was rubbing the side of my face. “What do you think?”

I grabbed my water bottle and started to sip it. Brendon walked in and plopped down on the floor next to Spencer. I glared at him and he stuck his tongue out at me. He crawled over and looked up at me from his position on the ground. “What?” I said annoyed as I kept my eyes glued on the TV.

“Will you forgive me?” Brendon pouted. I looked over at Ryan and he rolled his eyes. I laughed and then looked down at Brendon. “Hmm. Tell Ryan you’re sorry” I raised my eyebrow, knowing he didn’t want to apologize to Ryan. “Jenna” He whined. Maybe he was really a three year old in a twenty one year old’s skin. I just shook my head. “Do it” I looked over at Ryan and he stared at the back of Brendon.

“Im sorry Ryan” Brendon mumbled and looked back at me, smiling. He looked like a dog begging for food. I enjoyed it. “Did you mean it?” I drank some more water.

“Yes” He whined, got up from the floor and made me move over so there was more room on the chair for him.

“Now will you forgive me?” He took the water bottle from my hands and downed the rest. I snatched the bottle from his hands. “Why should I?” I tried to get any water left in the bottle to my mouth. I gave up on trying to get any last drop of water and started to peel the label off.

“I have a surprise” Brendon watched me try to rip the label off. I finally got it off and then looked over at him. “What would that be?” I threw the label in his face.
“The Academy Is…” Is all that Brendon said, blowing the label off his face. My eyes widened and a smile automatically spread on my face. Brendon knew how much I loved The Academy Is… not to mention the guys. They were hilarious, and weren’t that bad at acting like little kids along with us. We’ve hung out with them a bunch of times, but I haven’t seen them in forever, it seemed like.

Brendon laughed at the expression my face. “The Academy Is… what?” I stared at him, waiting for an answer. I knew he wasn’t going to answer since I already showed my excitement and he wanted to make me flip out more. After a little while of Brendon not answering, I looked back to the other guys and pouted.

“They are gunna be there tonight and they are touring with us for the remainder of the tour” Ryan didn’t even look away from the TV.

Im pretty sure they all knew how I would react, like a crazed, obsessed, fan-girl. I would maybe scream and be disgustingly happy for the rest of the day. No matter what any of them did to me, I wouldn’t care. Probably the reason why Brendon didn’t want to tell me right away, so he could mess with me the rest of the day and still have me get annoyed. Because you know, Brendon will only be satisfied if he sees you get annoyed or mad.

I sat there, holding in my screams of joy, my smile getting bigger. “Whyd you have to tell her?” Brendon whined, hanging his head off the side of the chair to look at Ryan. “Like she wasn’t going to find out sooner or later?” Ryan glanced at Brendon, only for a second, before his eyes landed back on the TV screen. Ryan always said he wasn’t a big TV watcher, and he was right, he didn’t watch TV that much, but when he did you couldn’t get him to stop.

“Come on!” I grabbed Brendon’s hand to pull him off the chair. He groaned as I dragged him off the bus.
