Falling harder and harder
1 Reviewsbe prepared. grab some kleenex.
"Drea?" I've been checking in on her about once every ten minutes to be sure she's okay. She still wont come out of the bus. She's awake now though. A good sign.
"What?" She looks up at me.
"you think you might want to see some daylight? you know that we gotta preform here." I sit beside her.
Drea sighs. "The only reason you made us take a beeline to chicago was so that you could get me out. And i'm not coming."
"Drea, there's seriously going to be a riot if i don't go onstage with the guys, okay--"
"So what? you don't have to stay here with me. I'll just die here slowly on my own." Drea doesn't smile. She hasnt since she told me her paranoia.
"You're not going to die. I'm done hearing you say that. You're going to come with us tonite if i have to pick you up and take you myself. No one is trying to take you out, Drea. Will you please just believe me for once?" I try my best to be sincere. "You don't want to let down the fans, do you?"
Drea locks eyes with me again. "Fine. I'll do it. But only because you are convinced that no one will hurt me."
"I wont let them." I tell her. "you got me?"
She nods, hugging me. "Yeah, i gotcha."
Chaos can only describe the scene here. I put my arm around Drea's shoulders, trying to prove to her that she'll be okay. We make our way through a mob of paparazzi and fans. Drea grips me tightly.
"Calm down, Drea." I tell her under my breath.
The sound she makes is a cross between a gasp and something unhuman. I look at her, stopping. She hold her stomach, hunching slightly. Blood drips to the ground, covering her hands and shirt.
