Chapter 1: He comes in.

Chapter one: He comes in.
Malibu’s POV
I’m 17, becoming 18 in a week. I live in an apartment down the street from the library I work at. I has black hair with streaks of blue and red dyed in it. I’m about 5’4” and my hair comes down to her shoulder blades. My parents had died just a few years ago when i was 15. Since then my brother, Chance, has been taking care of me.
I got up on a Saturday and got ready. I fixed breakfast for me and my brother. I ate my breakfast, and said good-bye to Chance. I walked to the library. then I got a pushcart of books and went up to the second level of the library. My friend that works with me came up, too, with a pushcart of books. We went in the same section, comedy, but in different isle.
(Author Note: This one or two minutes before the library opens…)
“Hey, Mali,” Selena said putting away a book.
“What, Sel?” I answered.
“Don’t you think there’s something else we could do around here?” she said
“Um…well…yeah, but this is easy and simple, that I can do for some money.” I replied crouching down to put a book away.
“True…” Selena said softly.
I smiled at her and we both laughed.
Just after we laughed, Ceci, another girl that I work with, came running out of the elevator and dashed toward me.
“MALIBU!!! MALIBU!!! MALIBU!!!” She said shaking me hard.
“What?! What?!” I said sounding a little annoyed since my shoulder was sore, from Ceci shaking it right now. Selena heard Ceci, went over to us, and crouched down.
“What’s wrong, Ceci?” Selena asked.
“Well!! You’ll never guess who’s in this library! Right Now!!” She said with hyperness and excitement in her voice.
“Who?!” Selena and I said getting in to it.
“JOE JONAS!!!!!” Ceci said with a really big smile on her face.
“WHAT?!” Selena said. Selena had a smile and wide eyes. I stared at Ceci.
“YEAH!!” Ceci said even more louder.
“COOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!” Selena said, as Ceci rushed into the elevator and went down.
“Wow…” I said not really excited while I was putting away another book. I really didn’t care about some teen dream sensation right now...
Selena rushed back to her cart.
“Mali? Came you do me huge favor?” Selena said, coming over by me.
“What is it?” I asked.
“Can you put my books away? PLEASE?” she asked with puppy dog eyes. I sighed and smiled a little. That was my way of showing ‘yes‘.
“Ahhhh! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!” Selena said hugging me. Then she went to the elevator and went down.

No One’s POV
All of the girls stopped working and were surrounding Joe.
“Um…Hi…” He said looking at them. All of them were talking at once, and it was loud. Then the manager came out from his office, and he looked furious!
“You girls better get back to work or you’ll all get fired!’ He said walking towards them. They turned around and saw him.
“Yes, sir.” They said walking back to their places. Selena and Ceci went in a corner, where no one could see them and talked about Joe.
“Sorry, about that inconvenience! I’m sure there are no girls up stairs. Why don’t you go check it out.” The manager said, heading towards the elevator with Joe right behind him.
“Thank you, sir.” Joe said and went up.
“I hope you find something up there.” the manager said.

Malibu’s POV
It was dead silence while I was putting away Selena’s books, but still had my own to do, as well. It sucked…why would some one do that to their friend…I guess it was really important to her to see Joe Jonas…
Joe’s POV
I looked around and was happy no one was there. I went around the room to the comedy section. I was going down the isles, looking for a book. Then I saw this beautiful girl putting away books. She didn’t seem to notice me at the end of the isle, so I went up to her.
'Um...excuse me..." I said tapping her shoulder, lightly. She looked up and saw me. She looked away and put another book away.
"I'm sorry, but I'm busy right now. If you want help, there are some other people down stairs..." She said getting up, and brushing her skirt off. She started to walk off and I grabbed her wrist. She turned around and looked at me in a sort of glare. She was tough, but I wasn't going to give up.
Malibu's POV
I didn't get it. When a girl says she busy, you should leave her alone, right? but it seems he wasn't going to give in. I thought about it then turned around to see what he wanted...
"Yo, girl, I have my library card, and checking you out." He said pulling out his library card, and showed it to me. I just looked at him, like, if I was wondering if he was on some kind of medication.
"Nice line. But that's not gonna win me over." I said, he let go of my wrist and instead of walking off, he got right in front of me, so I couldn't go forward.
"I know it's nice. How about you and me go to lunch tomorrow?" He said playing with my hair. I backed up and he followed. Every time I would go back, he would step closer, until we were in the same position we were in, except I was against the wall.
Joe's POV
I backed her up to a wall. I was so close to her, that I could feel her warmth.
