This is a one-shot song-fic with the song "Twisted" by Carrie Underwood. Enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Delilah sat, reading a book, in the rec room at the Academy. She had lost track of time. Al and Scarlett were long asleep in bed. It was at least 3:00 am in the morning, but no one needed to worry about her. After all, she was, Delilah Devonshire, one of the best spies in the country.

Anyways, she was sitting on the loveseat, made for two persons. And because of that, she was sprawled across its length. About as comfortable as she could be in the already humid Nova Scotian building, she turned over on her side, as easily as she could without losing her page. She looked up for a moment, and found herself lost in the delightfully deep, crystalline-blue eyes of Julius Chevalier.

It's twisted
Messed up
And the more I think about it
It's crazy, but so what
I may never understand it
I'm caught up and I'm hanging on
I'm wanna love you even if it's wrong

As she blushed slightly while Julius picked up the book she had just dropped and sat down beside her, she also smiled amidst all the tension in the air. And if it hadn't seemed hot in the room than before, she could swear the temperature in the room just rose at least ten degrees!

She assumed he had just come from working out, as he was still wearing comfortable shorts, and a sports shirt. "God, if only he knew how good he looks in those clothes!" she thought. "Wow, it's amazing how shaken I can get when I'm just in his presence..."

Baby you're a wrecking ball crashing into me
Nothing I can do but fall piece by piece
You broke down every part of me that ever thought I'd never need you, baby

She reached over his lap, in a futile attempt to try and regain the book in her possession, but he was too involved in trying to tease her, he didn't realize that he had had her crawl onto his lap and was beginning to caress her gently. The book was long forgotten. Bowled up thoughts and feelings were let out. One innocent kiss turned into many, passionate kisses. Not much was needed to be said.

It had started with one unintended kiss; one soft, honest kiss that had unleashed years of long-repressed feelings. Hands roamed freely over soft curves, smooth skin, strong muscle that had for so long only been imagined. He relished finding every spot that tickled, tightened, or trembled at his touch. She had found him to be a generous and attentive lover, and she surprised him with her own passion and assertiveness.

Everybody's telling me I'm over my head
But they don't feel you lovin' me
They all say that I've gone crazy
Maybe, but it's too late now to save me
I'm too tangled
It's twisted
Messed up
And the more I think about it
It's crazy, but so what
I may never understand it
I'm caught up and I'm hanging on
I'm wanna love you even if it's wrong

As the two stopped for a moment to catch their breaths, with Delilah lying underneath Julius' strong body, she stopped to think. She tried to pinpoint when it was that concern for the loss of a team member had transformed into the deep fear of never seeing him again. She couldn’t. It had been a gradual turning, a slow progression of professional protectiveness into personal attachment. Julius turned his head back to hers. Another kiss was placed on her lips.

Her thoughts left her mind once more.

Maybe it's not right
But that's all right
Yeah, it's all right tonight
It's twisted
Messed up
And the more I think about it
It's crazy, but so what
I may never understand it

Understanding things would come another day, another day with Julius and all the people she loved.

It was amazing how this could feel. She tried to imagine being this close with Julius would be, but never, in her whole life, could imagine how she felt now. And as much as everyone said you couldn't ever truly love someone in this business, an old proverb always stayed in her mind when things seemed horrifyingly wrong. "You deserve to love someone, and to be loved in return." That was one of the things that kept her going every day. Along with many other sayings, possibilities, and people.

She smiled to herself and wondered if this beautiful, brave man understood what he had accomplished, if he knew what he’d done to her. She never expected this, never suspected him, until he was already there. He had brought down her careful guard, stepped through her defenses, and occupied her heart, her very soul. She would never be able to keep that against him. He had warmed a place in her she hadn’t even realized had grown cold; made it burn to life and she didn’t think she could live if it ever cooled again. He had her, whole and complete. She wondered briefly if the truth of that wouldn’t frighten him a little; it frightened her in some ways.

She stretched under the weight of his body and then lay still as he resettled himself again. She ran reassuring hands up and down his back, feeling the muscles relax under her touch. Then, she lay her hand against his face, cool on his skin, and quietly whispered his name to the evening air, if only for the sheer joy of finally allowing herself to say it in the way lovers do. “Julius…”

Even if it's twisted
Even if it's just a little bit
Just a little bit
Just a little bit twisted
Yeah, it's twisted

A small smile crept up the corners of his mouth. As the two shared a look that said, "We can stay the night here, see what tomorrow brings, and hope for the best," A cool breeze flowing from the open window complimented the day's heat. Julius nestled his head onto Delilah's breast. She wrapped her arms around his back, and breathed a sigh of contempt.

For tonight, for right now, they belonged only to each other.

Yeah, it's twisted,
but it's all so right...
