Chapter 15
"I don't understand any of this..." Timmy looked at the screen but couldn't decipher what was written on it. "It's some kind of code."
"The fairy world scientists might be able to figure this out but Jorgen must be keeping an eye on them after the head experimentation, everyone in Fairy World found out. No pressure but they're kind of counting on the two of you to..." Wanda left it unfinished.
What she meant was understood anyway, but Cosmo tried to add something, "defeat the enemy with the power of love!"
"Sometimes I regret not becoming a fairy hunter," Vicky admitted.
"I hope you're saying that because of me... Oh no, you are saying it because of me!" Cosmo backed away. "I'm not worth hunting! I don't taste good, I snore and I don't even know how to use a computer!" He pressed random buttons until the gibberish on screen turned to plain English. "See? I can't even send email on this thing!"
"Sometimes I wonder if he's really stupid or a genius pretending to be stupid," Wanda looked over the information on the screen.
The pink haired fairy and Timmy looked at each other, "Nah..." it had to be a coincidence or rather a stroke of stupid luck.
"Which ever it is, at least we can use this," then Vicky would finally stopped being confused by the possible, and seemingly impossible, futures that floated in her head, and knowledge that felt like memories but were of things she wasn't supposed to know.

Two figures sat in the living room of Vicky's house, a woman with red hair and a man with brown hair, in a tight embrace. As they kissed, a shadow crept about seemingly unnoticed. The shadow took the form of the assassin materializing a large sword. The creature held it over the unsuspecting couple and...
There was a click and a beep, then a rain of magical bullets. The creature held his head, the chip within vibrating with nonsensical commands that only confused him and caused him pain. The magically enforced bullets forged with the combined data of what Vicky had learned from the hunter organization and what they found at Crocker's laboratory weakened the dark being slowly draining away his life. AJ never found out that the test he was taking to win a large scholarship was actually research for Timmy and Vicky, she did have her connections.
"One final vengeance..." was the last thing the being said before finally dying as he realized he had fallen into a trap and the couple who kissed were actually fairies in disguise.

"Puny human and not so deadly human who is about to forget all about me!" Jorgen wasn't pleased with the methods when he found out, but at least it was over.
"Hold on, you owe me a cure!" Vicky voiced, causing everyone except Wanda to look surprised.
"A cure for what?" Timmy asked. As far as he could tell Vicky was in good health.
"For his one final vengeance or else somehow I will make you pay!" Vicky did not intend to die; especially not now that most of the trouble had ended.
"Not if you don't remember..." A flash of light came from Jorgen's wand.
Vicky said something to Wanda and they both disappeared and came back minutes later. "Sorry, I'm a bit stressed from all of this," Wanda excused herself then Jorgen proceeded to erase Vicky's memories.

"Is it just me, or was Jorgen a lot braver with Vicky when his magic started working again? I guess magic is the only defense against Vicky, good thing I have you two," since Timmy had assisted in getting rid of the killer and he was rewarded by keeping his fairies.
"I'm glad that's over," Cosmo breathed in relief, "and doesn't this bring back memories?"
Timmy was currently at Vicky's house working as her 'assistant', which meant he was cleaning the house. "Yeah it does... but there's one thing that still bothers me. What was Vicky talking about when she said Jorgen owed her a cure?"
"She must have been under a lot of stress with her psychic connection to that being," Wanda voiced, "anyone else might have collapsed..."
"Vicky has always been strong," Timmy admitted, "but she definitely needs help, I don't know what's going on but I know she needs help."
"I'm sure she doesn't remember," Wanda continued, she soon realized that Timmy was looking at her expectantly.
"Wanda, do you know what's wrong with Vicky?"
"Yes," Wanda revealed, "remember when Vicky and I disappeared for a few minutes? She told me about this, I guess she knew she would lose her memories and there was no stopping it. She looked alright but when that creature died and his connection with her was abruptly terminated it really took its toll on her. I guess that's why she decided to tell me, she felt she was about to die and knew she couldn't get out of it alone." Wanda paused; there was no easy way to say this. "Our plan to lure him into a trap worked not only because Cosmo and I impersonated the two of you, but because of the devises you and Vicky used to amplify your energy."
"Amplify?" Timmy asked. "I thought those machines faked the special energy that forms around people who are in love. It was supposed to track fairy energy but it did that instead so Crocker labeled the machines a failure."
"No, that energy can't be faked but the two of you didn't have enough of it for the creature to sense. It had to be amplified for him to be believe you had fallen in love and try to take revenge. Right now the energy is just brushing 'like' and not quite close to 'love' yet." Wanda explained. "When the dark being died he used the last of his energy to cast his final spell, forbidden magic, a curse. He didn't hide this information from Vicky; she knew exactly what it was. He realized he had been tricked and that the real Timmy and Vicky were not in love. He realized that maybe that future he saw was an alternate dimension that wasn't possible here; then he cursed her. Vicky is dying, she doesn't remember it anymore and she won't show any symptoms, but she's cursed to die soon unless she feels love. It was that being's form of twisted poetic justice, to kill Vicky when she didn't achieve what he was tricked to believe she did, fall in love."
"We have to get her memories back! If I say she's dying she won't believe me and she'll be stubborn about this if she doesn't know her life is on the line!" Timmy's mind was running a hundred miles a minute then suddenly he stopped, remembering a very important detail. "Who is she supposed to fall in love with?"
"You," Wanda sighed, this was starting to look next to impossible especially since there was a time limit, although unknown. "After the creature died, Vicky lost her immunity to magic which she had obtained from her connection to him. Also, I'm sure Jorgen used a more powerful spell to erase Vicky's memories, Cosmo and I won't be able to bring them back."
Cosmo's eyes were starting to water from all the sad revelations, "poor Vicky..." he blinked, "I can't believe I said that but poor Vicky!" He started crying dramatically.
"I'm sorry... it looks like..." It's hopeless, Wanda almost said.
"No, I don't care what I have to do, I won't let her die," Timmy was determined, forgiving Vicky completely should be harder, but with the thought of her very life depending on him, he knew he could do it. This was too much and no matter how he looked at it, no matter how much he knew that Cosmo and Wanda would say it wasn't his fault; Timmy found ways to blame himself and he simply couldn't deal with that. "I'll save her."
