Weird Upload Problem
Hi. I posted a story today, but when I posted it, instead of getting the Manage Stories page I got the site's equivalent of a 404. Well, the story posted, but it still won't show up in the Manage Stories section and I just can't do anything with it. I'd delete it and redo it if I could, but I really can't -do- anything with it.

Michelle This seems to be a continuous problem lately. I've been spared so far keeps fingers crossed, but I have an idea.

It seems those stories don't come up in the Manage-section. But how about trying to access the edit screen for that story directly? Theoretically, it should be this link:

Does it take you anywhere or is the page blank as well?

Meimi Aha. Yes, that does work. Unfortunately, even with doing things with it there, it still refuses to show up on the Manage Stories page (which is where I need it to be so I can do other things with it... ugh), however it did give me an idea. Now if I can just repost the story (now that it's deleted!) without any problems I'll be set... cross fingers

Adara I'm having the same issue, but going to the edit screen doesn't fix things-- I have a story that posted twice for some reason, and I need to delete the duplicate copy, which as far as I know can't be done from the edit story screen. I got around it only because one copy showed up on the Manage Stories screen (although I'd really prefer to have gotten rid of the one that wasn't, so I can mark the story as completed) and I was able to delete that one.

DigiSim I'm also having the same problem. I recently uploaded the prologue for a story but it doesn't show in the Manage Stories bin. Nor does it show as being added to the Static Shock category. It's driving me up the fecking wall. Especially since I keep getting more HTTP 500 errors than progress. Here's the link to the story. Please help.

Meimi To delete it (and thus try uploading it again so it'll show up on the edit page), use the url Michelle pasted above, but replace the numbers after the sid= with the numbers after the sid= in your story's link. :) That's the story ID.
