Greetings, salutations and a question or two.
Hey, Lourdes here! I'm new in town and thought I'd drop a line. This is my first time subscribing to a fanfic site of any kind. And I just posted my first story yesterday, too! Lots of firsts for me recently.
Anyway, I was reading the ratings system guide and I have a question or two. On the ratings guide it has OOC and Mary...something. Jane, I think. Anyway, what do those mean? Boring I get, as well as predictable, etc, but I don't know those two. And there is a lot of slang bouncing around the site that I don't get quite yet. Could anyone point me to the ficwad dictionary or at least explain to me the most common phrases I'll see here? :)
So far loving this site. There are enough stories here to keep me busy until I'm 30, and I love the broad range we're alloud to use while writing (no adult content bans).

Lourdes Oh! Fluff. What is fluff? Lemons I get (hehehe), but I don't get Limes. Dribbles and Drabbles, too. Could someone explain?

Tikatu OOC = Out-of-character. Meaning that the canon characters are portrayed doing, saying, thinking things that they wouldn't in the canon material.

Mary Sue = a character who becomes the center of attention, and warps canon around him/her, usually an author's self-insert. I refer you to this discussion for more details: http://www.ficwad.com/forum.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=673

Fluff = a story that gives you the warm fuzzies. It can be romance, a family story, just a cute and sweet slice of life.

Lime = according to Wikipedia, it's a story where the characters do everything sexual with each other but stopping short of sexual intercourse

Drabble = traditionally a story written in just 100 words.

I am under the impression that a dribble is a smaller story, but I can't find anything to back that up. Perhaps someone else knows.
