NaNoWriMo
November is National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org/), and it starts tomorrow!

For those of you who're committing to writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days, you have our respect, and we'd like to point you to our Original section (http://www.ficwad.com/categories.php?catid=9)... because we like twisting events to our own advantage.
alocin Go NaNo-ers! I just completed my 50,000 word NaNoWriMo story and it's up in the Original section - "The Little Penguin Who Could".
TamerTerra I've got the first two chapters work up in the Erotica section (yay, my second first post here!). I'll put in the rest more gradually, I think.

NaNo was great.
lilyqueen777 im doing that but as a novel of poems. i am a poet, that's discriminating against what i write!!! :P
Rous Lily, it is not what you write, but how many words. So, if you want to write poetry, that is fine, by the rules. I am also doing it again this year. I will probably not make it again this year; I tend to do too much editing as I write. I just cannot leave it alone. :D
Tikatu I'm over 30K as of this writing, but my story's going to go over that in terms of word count. It will also need a lot of massaging and betaing to make it readable.

Onward!
