new categories
I've been requesting a new category for months now, but I've recieved no feedback whatsoever.

Has anyone else had this problem? Will anyone actually acknowledge me and my requests?

I have requested a new category for over a year. So far, still nothing.

At this point, I've completely given up. If I see that there's a category that doesn't already exist on FicWad, I assume that the Moderators That Be will never add it in, and post it on a website that doesn't take years to update its basic services.

same here
ive been the same way too. i keep trying to get a new catagory under celebrities. they really have a limited selection so i have to put my fanfiction under original. i hope that they start adding new catagories!

joy2008 I don't understand how to add a new category. When it asks for a "Parent Category" what do you choose? I can't click on "Books" or "Movies" and I don't really understand why you would choose something like "Harry Potter" when you're suggesting Twilight. Unless I'm just being stupid and not understanding what "Parent Category" is. Haha

branewurms You're not being stupid. It doesn't work properly. Lots of people have been telling them about it on this forum and in email, but apparently no one has gotten a response; I sent an email a couple of weeks ago or so and I haven't gotten a response either.

I understand that this is a free service that no one is under any obligation to provide, and I don't want to be waving my fanbrat sense of entitlement all over the place here, but I can't really understand why they bother having "suggest a new category" option if they're not going to bother to listen to anyone telling them it doesn't work for months on end. Do they even check this forum or their email at all?
