Finnally Inspired!Does this sound good?
Well i was finnally inspired! idk how but last night it just came to me. how does this plot sound;
a girl is 13 when one of her mothers friends leaves her 1 month old child with her to give to her mother. knowing her mother wont take care of him, she decides to adopt him as her own. Then when she's 16 she finnally meets the guy of her dreams.when she shows him the now 3 year old, he gets alittle nervice then adopts Aiden(the baby) as his own.

cretingirl I don't think a thriteen year old can adopt anyone...and where is the mom...I mean she has to know that her 13 year old daughter is taking care of a baby!

Fallendire I would agree with most of the input you've already gotten - there's just too much stretch. If she was sixteen when she adopted the child, it would be more plausible . . . and why is the mother incapable (or unwilling) to take care of the child herself? Is she alcoholic? A substance abuser? or does she simply not care? Similarly, you'll need to fill in why the friend leaves the child. If you're going to do a story with very unusual circumstances such as this one, everything must be explained, and all explanations must be airtight. If you can manage that, however, I think this could turn out very well.

Sassy Presumably the girl goes to school? What happens to the baby during the day? It's been suggested already, but you may come up against fewer problems if the girl is older.

Thing is, when such a detailed plot line is condensed into a few lines, it's easy to spot gaps, but provided you've got them covered when you write it, there's no problem!

Give it a go and see how it turns out. Good luck! :)
